They can pump a stock up then set up a kill zone where the price oscillated between a min and max. Only they know where it&#39;s going because they control the direction of price. The purpose of market listing is access to capital, and access they will get. The only ones losing are the small investors. MM stands for market makers but also for market manipulators. To make money in the market you have to anticipate their moves (which is near impossible of course). That&#39;s why having real news on a stock is important as they cannot control that dynamic.  When there are no news and the price moves beware.
