$PAYO $PAYO $PAYO I am confused Tradedoggy. Just read Benchmark has  $9.00 price target AFTER news that Nuvei is looking to acquire PAYO. If the likely share value of the deal is likely $7.00-$7.50 , how is the target price $9.00? I understand if the proposed target of $9.00 was prior to the news. What am I not understanding. Appreciate the perspective

$PAYO A deal at say $7.20 (works out at the reported deal price) would be 2.3bn Ent Value (actual price may be a bit below 7 when all shares vest on the deal etc and I&#39;m using current diluted only but it&#39;s in the ballpark). Assume the acquiring company can cut 25% of their 2028 cash cost expectation - that would give them a proforma EBITDA of $592M and that is after expensing stock based comp at the level at the level in the consensus - the SBC is going to be lower going fwd after they fire 1/4 of the workforce. So that allows Nuvei to pay a proforma 4.5x ev/2028 ebitda. Sweet deal for Nuvei I&#39;d say, public investors would rather chase SpaceX at whatever price it takes to colonize Mars

If the likely share value of the deal is likely $7.00-$7.50 , how is the target price $9.00? I understand if the proposed target of $9.00 was prior to the news. What am I not understanding. @Scotman1 dude the market is fucked up is my honest take. people are chasing spacex at 100 revenues - they were worth $650BN a year ago (both spacex and XAI pre the merger) and now it&#39;s worth $1.8BN. Meanwhile other stocks grinding revenues up at a reasonable pace are getting slammed - spacex revs were up 14% in 1Q26, hardly much different than payo and other names. So basically valuation does not matter much in this tape - expensive stocks get more expensive, cheap stocks go lower. It&#39;s likely passive flows, technicals etc. That&#39;s why so many companies are buying the shit out of their stocks these days because nobody else (of size) wants them. So $9 - jeez it could easiy be $18 in a different tape as that bit is all subjective. You will see on the deal that management will keep their shares - this is and has been a bear market for a certain type of story - small cap, fintechs, AI/Stablecoins will hurt them all despite no actual evidence yet. It&#39;s a mess out there.

And it can just be the market makers screwing with you and it shoots to $15 tomorrow 😆 Hard to ever know for sure one way or the other.
