The January 2024 SEC approval of 11 spot Bitcoin ETFs opened Bitcoin investment to traditional finance participants, and corporations like Strategy (formerly MicroStrategy) are using Bitcoin as a treasury reserve asset to protect against currency debasement, offering MSTR holders amplified exposure to Bitcoin.   The Bitcoin ecosystem continues to evolve with innovations like Ordinals, which emerged in January 2023 to enable NFT-like functionality directly on Bitcoin, and BRC-20 tokens, an experimental standard for creating fungible tokens using Ordinal inscriptions. Further efficiency is gained through the Gulf Stream protocol, which reduces confirmation times by forwarding transactions to validators before the current block is finished.  Founded in 2017 by Anatoly Yakovenko, Solana is now supported by the Switzerland-based Solana Foundation and significant institutional investors like Andreessen Horowitz and Polychain Capital. The platform’s native token, SOL, serves as the primary currency for paying transaction fees, participating in network governance, and securing the system through staking.   Solana has also seen significant institutional adoption ranging from spot Solana ETFs to major partnerships including Visa's 2025 launch of USDC settlement on the network and the tokenization of public equity by firms like Galaxy Digital.

Launched in 2017 by the Binance platform, the project initially distributed 50% of its 200 million token supply to the public, while the founding team received 40% and angel investors were allocated 10%. Though it began as a token on the Ethereum network, it eventually migrated to its own autonomous architecture that remains fully compatible with the Ethereum Virtual Machine. Today, the token's utility includes paying for network gas, participating in staking rewards, and enabling decentralized governance through which holders can vote on technical upgrades and economic changes.

Rare diseases = fewer treatments aka less potential money. This day and age, these types of companies almost always sell out at billion plus. What I really like about AGTC is the platform. With eye sight, unless you are working on curing complete blindness, it is not that much about curing the condition completely but improving it. AGTC&#39;s platform is top notch. In March, we will get more positive data and if it hits it with children-studies will be conducted later this year, buyout in 1.5-3 billion range will be imminent
