some of my twitter feeds are claiming the PPI running cool means possible deflationary pressure.  this could be because so much of the middle class has been wiped out.  under biden, 1M jobs lost/misreported.  under trump, massive gov&#39;t. layoffs.  in 2025, 100K tech jobs lost.  major companies are putting in thousands of requests for indians on H1-B visas, including $MSFT. 
 
the carnage is much, much worse.  middle class not spending money because they are broke/unemployed means wholesale and consumer (CPI) prices are both cool.   
 
also means the rate cut is a shoe-in.  it also signals that the pretense of crypto being a store of value against inflation is just that -- empty.  there is even less reason to sink money into crypto if we are in deflation because of the dead middle class.  at this point, only the very wealthy are able to spend money on discretionary items and they aren&#39;t enough to keep things going. 
 
good news is that trump&#39;s profligate spending bill adds inflationary pressure back into the mix.  the tariffs are raising money, but they are not enough to offset the massive increase in interest payments and his planned build out of the U.S. military for more wars, interventions, etc.

@Ueberschlaefer zero disagreement. The level of complacency in the markets is stunning, though Im sure a lot of the ‘stocks only go up’ aren’t totally unaware, they’re just hoping if they ignore it, it will go away.
