He said he would deliberately and selectively net monetize MPC real estate portfolio (because the market refuses to pay anything approaching fair value for it). - “check”
He said he would acquire a “Cadillac” high ROE insurance operation. -“check”
And grow it, using the premium and reserves float to robustly generate investment income (his forte). He acquired it, and brought in an executive chair in Q2 who at least on paper appears to be a “ top 5 in the world” insurance guy.
The jury is out of course it will take time to see how this add on business and change of course will work out. 
I expect, if nothing else over the next six months, that WS analysts covering insurance and perhaps special situation financials will pick up coverage.
Including some of the alpha investment banks.
Stock trades at book. Ackman makes a great case. Listen to the call. We’ll see. Lot of upside with low cost financial leverage involved.
