He argued that zero exposure to Bitcoin (BTC) was in itself a directional bet, and not a neutral one.&nbsp;He argued that, “If you have 0% weighting in Bitcoin,&nbsp;an investor is effectively assigning a “0% probability” to crypto's potential future impact. He further added that a 0% allocation was no longer defensible for a diversified portfolio.<h2 class="st-heading-2">Crypto Is 'So Underowned'</h2>Visser linked that argument to crypto's size in relation to global wealth. "At a three-trillion-dollar, four-trillion market cap relative to 700 trillion in the human world, this is so underowned.” He connected the case to AI agents, saying they will force the issue of tokenization, regardless of investor sentiment. “Agents need to transact in seconds,” he said, predicting that assets “will be fully tokenized by February of 2027.”<h2 class="st-heading-2">Rates Matter Less Than Investors Think</h2>Visser also argued that rising rates were not a big threat to markets, pointing to AI company margins as evidence. He fact-checked the math using large language models (LLMs), found that "a 200 basis point rise in 10-year yields doesn't change the margins for Anthropic or OpenAI by very much. It's about from, let's say, 70% to 69%."&nbsp;Visser's comments come as Bitcoin was up 36.11% quarter-to-date (QTD), on pace for a third consecutive green Q3 after gains of 0.96% in Q3 2024 and 6.31% in Q3 2025, according to&nbsp;<a class="st-link-external" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow" href="https://www.coinglass.com/today">CoinGlass data</a>.<a href="https://stocktwits.com/coins/bitcoin">Bitcoin’s price</a> was up by 0.9% in the past 24 hours. But it warned that parts of the bill still posed “significant law enforcement and public safety risks.”&nbsp;The group’s concerns centered on decentralized finance, or DeFi. The group said some parts of the bill could allow&nbsp;<a href="https://stocktwits.com/news-articles/markets/equity/crcl-clarity-act-sheriffs-drop-opposition-section-604/cZmQtqzR7kP">certain participants to avoid registration</a>, customer identity checks, anti-money laundering controls, and sanctions requirements. The NSA had also raised concerns about crypto tools such as mixers, tumblers, and cross-chain bridges. They said these tools could make it harder for police to trace illegal transactions and recover stolen crypto.<h2 class="st-heading-2">Senate Faces September 15 Deadline</h2>This movement comes as the Senate approaches its next procedural step on the bill. At the same time, he said, the firm was going upstream to richer consumers, and into the institutional advising area through acquisitions.Hougan said he will be long Robinhood and Coinbase (COIN) and short the traditional finance companies that aren’t trying the transition. Robinhood shares closed up over 17% on Thursday itself.&nbsp;In a weekly wrap statement, Ark Invest said “some sell-side firms had raised their outlooks” on Robinhood, citing growth opportunities in its prediction markets, banking, and crypto infrastructure.&nbsp;Robinhood has been expanding beyond stock and crypto trading. In the&nbsp;<a class="st-link-external" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow" href="https://investors.robinhood.com/news-releases/news-release-details/robinhood-reports-second-quarter-2026-results">second-quarter results</a> of 2026, Robinhood’s event-contract revenue reached $156 million, surpassing crypto revenue of $100 million for the first time, while crypto trading volume decreased 35% year on year. Private payrolls were also much stronger than expected, with 127,000 jobs added compared with expectations of around 43,000 to 45,000. The unemployment rate remained at 4.1%. The BLS also revised up payrolls for June and July by a combined 55,000 jobs.&nbsp;<h2 class="st-heading-2">Jobs Report May Not Set Fed Path</h2>According to a&nbsp;<a class="st-link-external" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow" href="https://www.bitunix.com/hub/blog/market-update/cpi-yen-carry-trade-insights">Bitunix analyst</a>, Bank of America (BofA) said before Friday’s report that the jobs data alone may not be enough to significantly move current rate-hike pricing unless payroll growth is substantially below forecasts.&nbsp;But the bank pointed to the September 11 Consumer Price Index (CPI) report as a more definitive signal for the Fed's rate path, arguing that if inflation remained sticky even as the labor market became softer, higher rates could keep funding costs and pressure risk-asset valuations, including crypto.&nbsp;Analysts also said that the yen carry trade offered a separate channel for transmitting Japanese monetary policy shocks to the crypto markets, beyond U.S. data.<figure class="image"><img src="https://news.stocktwits-cdn.com/Whats_App_Image_2026_09_05_at_4_18_02_AM_27d59dd3da.jpeg" alt="WhatsApp Image 2026-09-05 at 4.18.02 AM.jpeg" width="1179" height="684"><figcaption>Garett Jin on substack.&nbsp;</figcaption></figure>On Substack, popular trader Garrett Jin said that Bitcoin came under pressure and was 'rejected brutally' at $82,500. However, net inflows into spot Bitcoin ETFs on Friday totaled $174.60 million, down about 76% from Thursday’s number, according to SoSoValue data.Thursday's inflow coincided with Bitcoin rallying to $81,000 on the back of comments from Fed Governor Christopher Waller, who said he was open to keeping rates steady if inflation continued to ease.This has put Bitcoin at a crucial level. ZEC was trading at $1,030 on Friday, up roughly 9.7% over the last 24 hours.&nbsp;The move takes Zcash to its strongest level in almost 10 years, but it is still a long way from a record. ZEC hit a high of $3,191.93 on Oct. 28, 2016, and remains about 83% below that peak. The token has traded at around 7 times its average price of $129.98 since January 2017, according to Koyfin data.<a href="https://stocktwits.com/coins/zcash">ZEC’s price</a> was trading around $1,007, up 0.2% in the last 24 hours. On Stocktwits it was one of the top trending tickers. It is the first U.S.-listed ETP offering direct exposure to ZEC, giving brokerage investors a regulated route to buy the cryptocurrency.<h2 class="st-heading-2">Shorts Forced To Cover</h2>Open interest of ZEC perpetuals reached an all-time high of around $2.4 billion on Sept. 4, CoinGlass data showed. That's up from the previous high of about $2.0 billion set during the late-August run and more than triple the roughly $700 million outstanding in early July.The curve of open interest has almost mirrored the price one-for-one throughout the rally, with positioning building as the price moved up rather than trailing it. The breakout above $1,000 shook out the short position.&nbsp;As the token breached the $1000 threshold, some $34.5 million in ZEC shorts were liquidated, part of about $36.6 million in total liquidations over 24 hours, data from CoinGlass showed.&nbsp;But it wasn’t the biggest unwind of Zcash’s year. According to data from perpetual liquidations, it was a much larger event in early June when the price of the token rose to around $380, when the disclosure of the Orchard vulnerability triggered long liquidations several times the size of Friday’s number.<h2 class="st-heading-2">Bulls Talk Their Book</h2>Crypto’s best-known privacy advocates were among the loudest endorsers of the rally. Partner Ionis Pharmaceuticals (IONS), which licensed the drug, also fell roughly 10% after the close.<h2 class="st-heading-2">Trial Missed The Main Goal</h2>The late-stage Lp(a)HORIZON study tested pelacarsen in 8,323 people who already had cardiovascular disease and high lipoprotein(a), or Lp(a)—a genetically driven blood fat that diet and lifestyle barely change. About one in five people worldwide have elevated Lp(a), and there is still no approved medicine that targets it.Pelacarsen did what it was designed to do: it lowered Lp(a). Patients were already on standard treatments such as cholesterol and blood-pressure medicines.
