In the documents, FDA reviewers said the study failed to meet its pre-specified primary and secondary efficacy endpoints, finding no statistically significant difference between Deramiocel and placebo after 12 months.Duchenne muscular dystrophy is a rare inherited disorder that mainly affects boys, causing progressive muscle weakness, and there are no FDA-approved treatments specifically for the heart disease that often develops as the condition worsens.The advisory committee will review Capricor’s Biologics License Application (BLA) for the drug before the FDA makes its final decision by the Prescription Drug User Fee Act (PDUFA) target date of Aug. 22, 2026. A PDUFA date is the deadline by which the FDA decides whether to approve a drug for marketing in the United States.<h2 class="st-heading-2">Reviewers Question Changes To Trial Analysis</h2>The documents show that reviewers raised concerns over changes made to the statistical analysis plan (SAP) for Capricor’s Phase 3 Hope-3 trial. In December 2025, Capricor stated that its Phase 3 Hope-3 trial met its primary endpoint of improving upper-limb function and its key secondary endpoint of preserving heart function, with both showing statistically significant results.However, the reviewers said multiple changes were made after the randomized portion of the study, including revisions to the primary and secondary endpoints, analytical methods, and data imputation strategy. Markets usually applaud a rate cut, since lower rates make borrowing less expensive, and riskier assets such as Bitcoin more attractive. A cut is completely off the table this time,&nbsp;according to the CME Group’s FedWatch&nbsp;<a class="st-link-external" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow" href="https://www.cmegroup.com/markets/interest-rates/cme-fedwatch-tool.html">tool.</a>&nbsp;The tracker,&nbsp;which follows what futures traders are betting,&nbsp;put&nbsp;the probability of a cut at 0%. As of Monday morning, FedWatch was pricing in a 33.7% chance of a hike and a 66.3% chance of a hold. A week ago, the hike probability was just 16% before firming through last week as a soft inflation print faded from sight.Realistic outcomes are rates remaining in the current 3.50% to 3.75% range or rising a quarter point, said the analysts. Around 30% voted for earnings to determine the momentum for the week.<h2 class="st-heading-2">AI And Crypto Correlation</h2>Bitfinex identified demand for Bitcoin ETFs as the primary driver of July's price action. Bitcoin’s daily price moves this month have tracked those flows closely, the analysts said, with a correlation of 0.75. Analysts counter the prevailing theory that Bitcoin is now just a side bet on the AI boom.&nbsp;The correlation to the Nasdaq (NDAQ) 100, Nvidia (NVDA) and Alphabet (GOOGL) is real but modest, the analysts said, 0.41, 0.34 and 0.26 respectively over the past 30 sessions, calling the AI comparison “a narrative convenience.” They said that when the stress is in the wider economy and interest rates, then Bitcoin behaves like stocks. When the stress is in the specific stock market, then it behaves differently, said the analysts.<h2 class="st-heading-2">The Wall At $68,000</h2>Bitfinex sees any rally capped at $68,000, the cost bases of the 3.55 million BTC acquired over the last six to twelve months are clustered at the level where underwater holders usually sell into strength.&nbsp;Analysts said wallets holding between 100 and 1,000 BTC sold some $5.1 billion worth of coin in May and June, or about five times what ETFs took in during their best week in months. At the end of the day, it all boils down to, in a sense, Nvidia,” he said, talking about how the markets would respond to potential news about a hyperscaler trimming its capex.<h2 class="st-heading-2">It’s All About AI Trade Now, Says Eisman</h2>Eisman said that the current trade in the markets is all about AI, even as the July meeting of the Federal Open Market Committee (FOMC) looms later this week.“It’s all one trade. It’s AI. Either you succeed or you won’t. Just take, for example, the investment banks… the numbers were really great. But why were they great? They were great because they’re doing a lot of AI financing,” he said.Eisman added that even if investors bought stocks like Goldman Sachs, it wouldn’t mean they were diversifying their portfolios beyond the ongoing AI trade, given that investment banks are undertaking AI financing.<h2 class="st-heading-2">Eisman Says AI Trade Is Much More Complex Now</h2>Eisman also highlighted the change in investor mindset over the past year when it comes to companies' AI capex. He added that the overall sentiment a year ago was great, with companies spending money more freely on AI than they are now.“Every time one of the companies would increase their capital expenditures, the stock would go up. It’s much more complicated now,” he said.Eisman added that the AI industry has become a lot more capital intensive now, and the increasing presence of cheaper AI models from China has added to the complexity, with the possibility of a price war looming.He also highlighted the fall in Alphabet Inc.’s (GOOG, GOOGL) shares last week despite the company’s better-than-expected second-quarter (Q2) results. The trigger, according to Eisman, was Alphabet’s increased capex forecast.“They beat expectations. Huge numbers were coming through. But they increased the capex from $190 billion to $205 billion. People are freaking out,” he said, highlighting the catch-22 situation that the AI trade is in right now.<h2 class="st-heading-2">Market Will Have A ‘Big Correction’ If AI Doesn’t Succeed, Warns Eisman</h2>The investor also warned that the equity markets will see a “big correction” if the AI technology does not succeed. He highlighted the concentration of the tech and AI trade across equities as well as bonds.“Of the 40% in bonds, most of the new issuance of bonds is AI related. So even people who think they’re diversified because they’re investing in bonds are not really that diversified.
