Worldcoin (WLD), the tech company focused on digital identity verification, just opened its doors at Atlanta's Ponce City Market. It's their fourth U.S. location, joining spots in San Francisco, Miami, and LA.

The Atlanta Journal-Constitution picked up the story, highlighting how locals are excited about a way to prove they're real people online without giving up their privacy.

The Atlanta location makes total sense given the city's booming tech scene. Like their other spots, this one features their signature "Orb" scanner that checks if you're a real person. The process is pretty straightforward - you pop in, do a quick biometric scan, and get your World ID right on your phone. The cool part? Your personal info stays with you, not in some database somewhere.

This launch comes at a perfect time, with recent Georgia polls showing people are fed up with online bots and fake accounts. In fact, 81% in a survey say they strongly or somewhat support the use of biological tools like fingerprints, facial or voice recognition to verify a user is a real human while also
protecting their privacy - exactly what World is trying to fix.

The tech behind it is pretty clever - everything's encrypted right on your device, so you keep control of your data. They've already got some heavy hitters on board like Visa (V) and Stripe, who are all trying to tackle problems like scalping bots and spam. The system's caught on globally too, with about 26 million users and counting.

For Atlanta locals, the Ponce City Market spot offers a laid-back way to check out this cutting-edge tech.

The space blends perfectly with PCM's historic charm while sporting some serious tech muscle, including NVIDIA (NVDA)-powered scanners. World sees this as just the beginning of their U.S. expansion, betting big that proving you're human online is going to be huge for building trust, whether you're buying concert tickets or swiping right.
