Draganfly Inc.(DPRO) announced on Thursday that it has signed a formal collaboration agreement with U.S. defense contractor Global Ordnance.
The deal positions Global Ordnance as the primary U.S. defense partner for Draganfly’s line of drone platforms and related systems. The two companies plan to work jointly on increasing the adoption of Draganfly's drone solutions across U.S. military programs while integrating responsive supply chains and defense-specific customization.
Following the announcement, Draganfly stock traded over 2% higher in Thursday’s premarket. On Stocktwits, retail sentiment around the stock shifted to ‘neutral’ from ‘bullish’ territory the previous day amid ‘high’ message volume levels.
Global Ordnance, based in Florida, supplies equipment and logistics services to the U.S. Department of Defense and allied forces. The company’s portfolio ranges from tactical hardware to full-scale defense program management.
“Their track record in U.S. defense, logistics, and mission support complements Draganfly’s capabilities in advanced autonomy systems and defense-grade UAS manufacturing,” said Draganfly's CEO, Cameron Chell.
The partnership aims to blend Global Ordnance’s understanding of military procurement and logistics with Draganfly’s drone innovations. Together, they plan to address key U.S. defense needs by offering rapid deployment capabilities, tailored mission systems, and robust domestic manufacturing support.
The arrangement comes at a time when the U.S. Department of Defense is focusing more on funding small unmanned aerial systems (UAS), counter-UAS, and technologies that can work well together.
Draganfly stock has gained 179% year-to-date and over 211% in the last 12 months.
