U.S. stock futures rose early Tuesday as investors digested the leadership transition at Apple and reports of potential peace talks between the U.S. and Iran. Iran is reportedly considering attending peace talks in Pakistan; however, it faces internal resistance from the Revolutionary Guard as Wednesday’s ceasefire deadline looms.
JPMorgan has reportedly raised its S&P 500 year-end target to 7,600, while traders brace for March retail sales data and a high-stakes Senate confirmation hearing for Fed Chair nominee Kevin Warsh this morning at 10:00 am ET.
As of 4:00 a.m. ET on Tuesday: S&P 500 and Nasdaq futures gained 0.1%; Dow futures rose 0.3%; and Russell 2000 futures were flat with a positive bias.
Retail sentiment toward the SPDR S&P 500 ETF (SPY), an exchange-traded fund that tracks the S&P 500 Index, and the Invesco QQQ Trust (QQQ) ETF, which tracks the Nasdaq-100 Index, continued to remain in the ‘extremely bullish’ territory.
