Unusual Machines Inc. (UMAC) announced on Friday that it has secured a new $800,000 contract from fellow drone technology company Red Cat Holdings Inc. (RCAT).
The agreement includes delivery of multiple advanced components that will be integrated into Red Cat’s FANG drone platform, a system designed for military and government use.
These parts include the Aura analog camera, Brave series flight controller and ESC, motors, HDO+ goggles, and the Aura VTX video transmitter. All systems are compliant with the National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA), ensuring they meet U.S. sourcing and security standards.
Following the announcement, Unusual Machines’ stock traded over 8% higher in Friday’s premarket. On Stocktwits, retail sentiment around the stock remained in ‘bullish’ territory amid ‘high’ message volume levels.
"High-quality, NDAA-compliant components are now table stakes--what truly matters is how fast you can deliver them,” said EVP of Revenue at Unusual Machines, Stacy Wright.
Unusual Machines produces and distributes a range of drone-related products under several distinct brands, including Fat Shark, an ultra-low latency FPV (first-person view) video goggles. The company also offers compact, high-performance FPV drones and accessories directly to consumers through its online storefront, Rotor Riot.
On September 30, the company secured a $12.8 million contract to deliver critical components for Strategic Logix’s Rapid Reconfigurable Systems Line (RRSL), an adaptable UAV platform built for scalable deployment in defense and commercial sectors.
The order includes over 160,000 parts, ranging from cameras and controllers to video transmitters and ground systems.
Unusual Machines’ stock has gained over 990% in the last 12 months.
