The SEC and CFTC's Bromance Just Produced a 68-Page Love Child
The SEC and CFTC have jointly published a final rule and interpretation classifying crypto assets into five categories and explicitly naming Bitcoin, Ether, Solana, Cardano, Chainlink, XRP, and others as digital commodities - not securities. The 68-page release also provides safe harbors for protocol mining, protocol staking, wrapping, and certain airdrops.
