$AGQ Remind me again how raising rates will cool inflation when the sector propping up the entire market and economy literally can’t slow down on spending, or it risks losing AI supremacy to China? Normally, higher rates causes people to tighten their spending. AI supremacy is a nat’l security issue. Big Tech will continue to borrow, whatever the rates, and pass the cost on to the consumer. That add’l cost will read as more inflation, prompting the Fed to keep raising rates, but that will mean the government has to refinance the nat’l debt at higher and higher rates, forcing them to print more and more to service the debt interest…creating more inflation! Correct me if I’m wrong, but I don’t see a solution there. All of this is long term bullish for PMs imho.

$AGQ Lots of indebted currencies offer high rates of return while their value collapses. Isnt that what is slowly happening in the bond market now? Im not saying that the usd will collapse but its certainly losing clout. 6 percent for holding a currency that might get cut in half in 5 years is probably a riskier investment than tangible assets.
