SLV is experiencing extreme volatility, caught in a tug-of-war between strong dip-buying following significant price pullbacks and community discussions on potential government price floors for critical minerals, alleged market manipulation, and physical supply concerns.

Ripple is the catchall name for the cryptocurrency platform, the transactional protocol for which is actually XRP, in the same fashion as Ethereum is the name for the platform that facilitates trades in Ether. Like other cryptocurrencies, Ripple is built atop the idea of a distributed ledger network which requires various parties to participate in validating transactions, rather than any singular centralized authority. That facilitates transactions all over the world, and transfer fees are far cheaper than the likes of bitcoin. Unlike other cryptocurrencies, XRP transfers are effectively immediate, requiring no typical confirmation time.  Ripple was originally founded by a single company, Ripple Labs, and continues to be backed by it, rather than the larger network of developers that continue bitcoin’s development. It also doesn’t have a fluctuating amount of its currency in existence. Where bitcoin has a continually growing pool with an eventual maximum, and Ethereum theoretically has no limit, Ripple was created with all of its 100 billion XRP tokens right out of the gate. That number is maintained with no mining and most of the tokens are owned and held by Ripple Labs itself — around 60 billion at the latest count.  Even at the recently reduced value of around half a dollar per XRP, that means Ripple Labs is currently sitting on around $20 billion worth of the cryptocurrency (note: Ripple’s price crashed hard recently, and may be worth far less than $60 billion by time you read this). It holds 55 billion XRP in an escrow account, which allows it to sell up to a billion per month if it so chooses in order to fund new projects and acquisitions. Selling such an amount would likely have a drastic effect on the cryptocurrency’s value, and isn’t something Ripple Labs plans to do anytime soon.  In actuality, Ripple Labs is looking to leverage the technology behind XRP to allow for faster banking transactions around the world. While Bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies are built on the idea of separating financial transactions from the financial organizations of traditional currencies, Ripple is almost the opposite in every sense. Transactions are grouped into blocks added approximately every 10 minutes through mining, where specialized computers compete to solve complex mathematical puzzles.   Bitcoin has achieved mainstream adoption through multiple vectors. The January 2024 SEC approval of 11 spot Bitcoin ETFs opened Bitcoin investment to traditional finance participants, and corporations like Strategy (formerly MicroStrategy) are using Bitcoin as a treasury reserve asset to protect against currency debasement, offering MSTR holders amplified exposure to Bitcoin.   The Bitcoin ecosystem continues to evolve with innovations like Ordinals, which emerged in January 2023 to enable NFT-like functionality directly on Bitcoin, and BRC-20 tokens, an experimental standard for creating fungible tokens using Ordinal inscriptions. BTCFi (Bitcoin Finance) represents emerging financial applications extending beyond Bitcoin's traditional role, with protocols like Babylon allowing Bitcoin holders to stake BTC to secure Proof of Stake chains.

The analyst said that it was reducing its FY27 and FY28 non-GAAP EPS estimates based on management's cost and revenue estimates on the completion of Celestial AI’s acquisition.UBS cut the price target on Marvell to $115 from $120 and kept a ‘Buy’ rating on the shares. The firm said that it trimmed its estimates on the company to account for near-term dilution from the deal.Meanwhile, Citi also cut its price target on Marvell to $113 from $114, while maintaining a ‘Buy’ rating on the shares.<h2 class="st-heading-2">Acquisition Details</h2>In December, Marvell announced its agreement to acquire Celestial AI for about $3.25 billion in a cash-and-stock deal. On Tuesday, the company announced that it had completed the transaction.&nbsp;Celestial AI’s technologies and teams would become a part of Marvell’s Data Center Group, the company said. The deal would further strengthen its position across next-generation AI and cloud data center architectures as Celestial AI’s capabilities would expand Marvell’s optical connectivity, boosting more integrated, high-bandwidth, and power-efficient solutions for its data center customers, it added.Meanwhile, the Santa Clara-based company said that it expects initial revenue contributions from the acquisition to start in the second half of fiscal 2028, and for revenue to ramp up to a $500 million annualized run rate in the fourth quarter. The company expects revenue to double to $1 billion, on an annualized run rate, by the fourth quarter of fiscal 2029.However, the deal would increase the company’s operating expenses by about $50 million. The acquisition also set back Marvell by $1 billion in cash, and would lower the company’s Other Income by about $38 million on an annual basis, it said. The company’s earnings per share also beat estimates, coming in at $0.15 versus street estimates of $0.08.Meanwhile, the company’s full-year revenue for 2025 came in at $52.9 billion, beating street consensus of $52.5 billion.“We delivered a solid finish to the year and made progress on our journey to build a new Intel. The introduction of our first products on Intel 18A – the most advanced process technology developed and manufactured in the United States – marks an important milestone, and we’re working aggressively to grow supply to meet strong customer demand,” said Lip-Bu Tan, Intel’s CEO.However, the company’s outlook for Q1 2026 came in below street expectations. Intel projected a revenue of $11.7 billion to $12.7 billion, with the lower-end of the projection coming in much below street expectations of $12.5 billion, as per Fiscal.ai data.The chipmaker also projected earnings per share to be nil in the upcoming quarter, versus a street expectation of $0.05.<h2 class="st-heading-2">Supply Constraints</h2>The company attributed the lower guidance to chip supply constraints, expected to be at its lowest level in Q1. “As we enter 2026, our buffer inventory is depleted and the mix shift in wafers towards servers, which began in Q3, will not come out of fab until late Q1 26,” said Dave Zinsner, Intel’s Chief Financial Officer, during the earnings call.“As a result, and as we stated last quarter, our internal supply constraints are most acute in Q1,” he said. Zinsner added that while this is expected to improve in the following quarter, the company still “won’t be completely out of the woods here.”However, he said that things would improve through the year progressively. “We expect our factory network to improve available supply beginning in Q2, and for each of the remaining quarters in 2026,” Zinsner said.To manage limited capacity, Zinsner said Intel will be shifting its wafer supply away from lower-end PC products to prioritize mid- to high-end client chips.
