This is actually a pretty interesting idea for $SNAP shareholders… Activist investor Blue Duck Capital wants Snap to sell a 20% stake in its Specs business at a proposed $5 billion valuation, potentially raising $1 billion. That could fund roughly two years of Specs development without Snap issuing more shares or putting as much pressure on its core business. Personally, I LOVE the idea… My thesis has always been about Snap improving monetization and turning its massive user base into a much more profitable business. If Specs can keep developing without slowing that progress, even better.

One $SNAP chart I don’t see talked about enough: Q2 revenue growth by region: North America: +15% Europe: +33% Rest of World: +17% Europe is now growing more than 2x as fast as North America. The $SNAP monetization story is becoming a lot more global than it used to be.
