Any stake above that threshold was locked for one year.When startup IPOs began, SEBI recognized that most were backed by venture capital and private equity investors and run by professional management teams, not by individuals with dominant control.&nbsp;To support their listings, SEBI allowed them to go public without naming promoters, reducing the lock-in period for pre-IPO shareholders to six months instead of three years.He noted that this is why many of these IPO documents include the phrase “professionally managed with no identifiable promoter.”Why Founders Chose This RouteAccording to Guleria, most startup founders have “paper wealth,” meaning their net worth lies largely in company shares rather than liquid cash. Swiggy’s shares dropped over 2% on Monday after brokerage firm JM Financial cut its rating on the food delivery and quick-commerce company to 'Reduce' from 'Hold.'&nbsp;The brokerage also cut its price target to ₹440 from ₹460 earlier, due to a worsening balance sheet and intensifying competition.Brokerage ConcernsJM Financial said Swiggy’s net cash balance has been shrinking at a rapid pace, falling from ₹8,130 crore in December 2024 to an estimated ₹4,350 crore by September 2025, excluding potential proceeds from a stake sale.&nbsp;The firm noted that despite Instamart’s over 100% year-on-year growth in gross order value, it has been losing market share to Blinkit, which grew more than 130% and plans to double its store base.The brokerage highlighted that Swiggy’s pace of dark store expansion has slowed sharply to 40–50 per quarter, compared to a peak of 316 in the fourth quarter. Swiggy Shares Slide After JM Financial Cuts Rating Amid Cash Burn Concerns

Swiggy has reported widening losses for five consecutive quarters, with cumulative losses topping ₹6,600 crore.

It was the top Nifty gainer at close.&nbsp;<a href="https://stocktwits.com/symbol/ETERNAL.NSE">Eternal’s shares</a> closed 2.9% higher at ₹337.85, marking a fourth consecutive session of gains. The stock added 5.1% over the period.Why Did The Stock Surge?Eternal’s stock picked up late momentum after global brokerage firm Goldman Sachs raised its target price to ₹360 per share from ₹340 earlier.The brokerage highlighted strong momentum in Eternal’s quick commerce arm, Blinkit. Margins for Blinkit are expected to expand by 240 basis points over the next two quarters, with EBITDA breakeven projected by December 2025.Goldman Sachs added that the quick commerce business could act as a key growth driver for Eternal’s stock, though its full potential is yet to be priced in.Stock WatchAccording to NSE data, the market capitalization of Eternal, the parent company of food delivery business Zomato and quick commerce firm Blinkit, is ₹3.26 trillion. Colgate, Britannia, Dabur, Nestle rose between 3% and 2%.&nbsp;Insurance companies erased their gains on concerns that costs will rise without the inverted duty structure benefits.
