Negotiations is a much more bullish phrasing. It sounds like things are really moving swimmingly on the Brownsville side of things. Never before has Craig mentioned Brownsville so much and said the key catalysts coming up to look for are permits AND US FUNDING. before it’s mainly been permits.

$TMC I’m getting excited. YES we are still about 3 quarters from the commercial recovery permit BUT we are going to start seeing lots of little items falling into place soon. Tutes will continue to load behind the scenes, driving up the floor. For someone who has been invested here since 2021 it feels like it’s going to be here in no time at all. I can see 25-30 off hype next year if only briefly, before production starts ramping us to that price as a floor and beyond.

Update: the Bessent–He Lifeng meeting has now officially finished. The U.S. proposed an AI-safety notification mechanism for Trump and Xi to consider Thursday. They also discussed operationalizing a “Board of Trade” that could identify tariffs for possible reductions on non-strategic goods including U.S. energy/agricultural products and Chinese consumer goods. That distinction “non-strategic goods” is important.
