Sovereign frontier cloud for AI that builds  AI agents are starting to build and operate real software. Agentic organizations are starting to coordinate people, code, data, payments, and governance. Both need a cloud that is sovereign, tamperproof, and always on.  The Internet Computer is that cloud.  Built on more than USD 500 million in R&amp;D, ICP uses advanced blockchain technology and cryptography to run entire software systems end-to-end on the network: websites, apps, services, data, payments, and governance. This will enable fair airdrops or token/NFT sales, provide protection against bots/sybil attacks on social media, and enable the fairer distribution of limited governmental resources. Furthermore, World ID can also enable global democratic processes and novel forms of governance (e.g., via quadratic voting), and it may eventually show a path to AI-funded UBI. The Worldcoin token (WLD), alongside World ID, will let users participate in governing the Worldcoin protocol.   To engage with the Worldcoin protocol, individuals must first download a first wallet app that supports the creation of a World ID. Users visit a physical imaging device called the Orb to get their World ID Orb-verified. Orbs are operated by a network of independent local businesses called Orb Operators. The Orb uses multispectral sensors to verify humanness and uniqueness to issue an Orb-verified World ID, with all images being promptly deleted on-device per default (absent explicit consent to Data Custody). All Orb-verified World IDs holders are entitled to claim recurring grants of free WLD tokens, subject to certain availability restrictions. The WLD token is designed as a utility token with governance properties.

Anybody with 1% of COMP delegated to their address can propose a governance action; these are simple or complex sets of actions, such as adding support for a new asset, changing an asset’s collateral factor, changing a market’s interest rate model, or changing any other parameter or variable of the protocol that the current administrator can modify.

The network operates using a Proof of Work mechanism where computers solve complex puzzles to confirm transactions and secure the blockchain. It is distinguished by a block generation time of 2.5 minutes, which allows for faster transaction confirmations and a higher total throughput than earlier protocols. Key technical features include the Scrypt hashing algorithm, which promotes wider network participation, and MimbleWimble Extension Blocks, which improve user privacy by allowing transaction details to be hidden.  The LTC token is used for settling global payments, executing microtransactions through smaller units called litoshis, and diversifying digital portfolios with a highly liquid asset. New tokens are issued to miners as rewards for verifying blocks, though these rewards undergo a halving event approximately every four years to strictly control inflation. This process ensures the ledger maintains immutability, meaning records cannot be changed once they are saved to the global network.  Created by former Google engineer Charlie Lee, the project is supported by the Litecoin Foundation, a non-profit organization dedicated to ecosystem adoption. Unlike many venture-backed projects, it is maintained by a decentralized community of independent developers and a global network of miners. The project has seen recent institutional adoption, with entities like Lite Strategy and Luxxfolio Holdings adding significant amounts of LTC to their corporate treasuries as of late 2025.

Users can also utilize the network for tokenizing real-world assets or accessing decentralized finance services like peer-to-peer lending.  Stellar's native token, XLM, is essential for maintaining network integrity by acting as an intermediary to find efficient exchange paths and preventing spam through small transaction fees and minimum account balance requirements. Unlike many other digital assets, the network has no inflation because the community voted to disable the automatic creation of new tokens. While the project received early funding from the payments company Stripe, it is now sustained by a global community of validators and developers rather than traditional venture capital.
