$IOVA If I were the CEO of a potential buyer (MRK, BMY, AZN etc) I would use this IOVA stock drop and sentiment purge to start a discussion with Wayne if I had not already done so (I would have already done so). This drop may make Wayne, and IOVA’s management as a whole a bit more pliable in BO negotiations. That is a real opportunity and I would not waste it. As many have discussed on this board before, the longer potential buyers wait to seriously approach IOVA, the higher price they are likely to pay to win the bidding war for IOVA.

Moreover, I think in the medium to long term (say beyond 18 months from now) the NSCLC data and precision medicine strategy IOVA has embarked on may make the company much more valuable than I thought even a week ago. I think at least some potential buyers are going to feel the same way.

My main point is that as I have more time to reflect on what has happened over the last couple days, I think it is at least possible that this rough patch my set the conditions for a BO to occur sooner rather than later. I think big pharma CEOs are smart enough to know that IOVA’s precision medicine push will make it more valuable to own long term.

@AngusMacbeth The PR/Webcast was completely uncharacteristic. Nothing was normal. They have been on game for 2-3 quarters, and in what was news expected in December, they struck out on virtually every aspect.

The Wednesday AH had 5m volume right after close, likely dark pool, then ran to $17+ on the PR. It was still in that area 2.5 hours prior to data PR, and declined immediately, rebounded a bit, then down quickly over 15-30 minutes. The chaos continued all day and today.

Much debate about the entire debacle. Fred sucks. Rush to start new direction in November. Was on purpose as Wayne wanted to help short buds cover. A suitor involved to get a good position for a BO. Data and narrower precision focus bad. On purpose as Wayne was underwater short.

No one knows. May come out over time. We lost credibility. Besides the interview Brian had with Investors Daily, no formal support for stock, no clarification, no hitting media to fix it and stop the bleeding.
