So is this just the Puerto Rico government and NFE making a case to convince the public that it is being held accountable? 

The telling detail to me is that Puerto Rico is suing NFE through Genera, which is actually AN NFE SUBSIDIARY.  So an NFE subsidiary (Genera) is actually suing itself (NFE parent co) on behalf of the PR govt. Makes no sense and reeks of a political show played for PR citizens. 

Also, the lawsuit only pertains to operations between Oct 2024 to Oct 2025. A lot has changed since and the amount litigated is only $54m. 

NFE losing Puerto Rico as a customer is just pure fear mongering by bears to me. NFE operates the only LNG receipt, regasification, and handling facility serving the San Juan power generation plants. There IS no other viable alternative supplier besides NFE.

What drives the value of NFE as a company are its assets and the cash flows generated through those assets. All else is just noise.

$NFE only major LNG Customer left on long term contract has taken them to US federal court for contract non performance. NFE didn’t deliver the ONLY product they sell… …to the ONLY major post-restructuring client they’ll have secured on long term supply contract. NFE can’t deliver the only product they sell to the (only) client they pitch as the linchpin of their get-out-of-bankruptcy reorganization.  It’s July 4th, 8 weeks left to push that stock price over $1 -for 8 weeks straight- to avoid delisting.  🫠

@Californiacap NFE doesn’t own the San Juan Assets, or the dock. NFE has an operating agreement for  assets now paid for and owned by the PR Government, specifically Docks A/B owned by the PR maritime ports authority and the regas &amp; booster station (there is no onshore storage at that facility, just a regas station) owned by PREPA and the P3.  NFE doesn’t “own” anything, so anyone with LNG op’s expertise and a fleet of LNG carriers (like the ones NFE has to lease on many occasions) can ship LNG and regas it at that PR gov facility. Nothing special there, Naturgy (which ships LNG weekly to the only full service and storage port on the island) or Crowley Marine (which also ships gas to San Juan port on its own ships) can deliver gas and operate PREPA/PRMPT’s regas and dock assets in San Juan Harbor. Again, nothing special going on there, nothing “owned” by NFE.
