$PD PagerDuty  rose 12.8% amid speculation it may be the target of an activist investor. 
 
Goldman Sachs filed a 13G on Thursday, disclosing a 4.32 million stake in Q1, up from ~2 million at the end of 4Q, and Goldman is the company&#39;s fourth-biggest holder. Goldman can sometimes be used as a counterparty for activist derivative positions, Dealreporter highlighted in an item on Friday. 
 
A potential activist in PagerDuty (PD) comes as shares of the company have plunged more than 60% over the past year. Last July, Reuters reported that PagerDuty was exploring options, including a sale, after seeing inbound interest. 
 
Takeover interest is now new to PagerDuty (NYSE:PD). In January 2024, it was reported that the software maker was evaluating its options amid interest from private equity firms.
