$BBVA this has an amazing performance chart not only for the past 5 years but before. They only comments are from stocktwits on setting new all-time highs. ER is August 27th after the close.

Granted it may not be the best time to buy and some would say it's too toppy overpriced.

@Good2go either way i have an average of 5.00s I am not going anywhere. Once this company becomes mainstream which i am starting to see ads on youtube, this will be huge. For some reason American’s don’t care about this company, but the dividend has been treating me well.

@Good2go Two visits to Basque Spain in 1970 and 2016 along with a random Morningstar article during early Covid on how euro banks were being crushed for no apparent reason, led to my initial buys in the $3 range. BBVA has built my ira to the point where I can retire comfortably and my brokerage account is a rock with 15k shares at $5.60.
Let me count the ways:
- Euro bank diversified in the southern Americas and Turkey
- Haven’t abandoned DEI or green energy initiatives
- Cutting edge on fintech
- Digital-only presence very popular in Italy and Germany
- Solid digital currency presence
- Name a euro bank making better use of AI
- Solid dividend and repurchase plans with excess profits
I could go on, but you get the drift. Bullish till I’m star dust.

@Xzilleration thank you for that extremely interesting information and history. You must have a lot of gratitude and appreciation for that bank and how it's helped you retire sooner (than later).

Banks in general have been pretty good investments for me although I haven't really invested that much in them. The market goes as JPM goes, paraphrased. Speaking of the covid crash regional Banks sure did take a beating. That was an opportunity that I took part in but not enough.

Speaking of returning to stardust I'm a much closer to that at age 77. It's a strange feeling trying to get everything nailed down before I go. Because there's nothing we can do once we are stardust.

I appreciate all the information thank you.

@Good2go You're right on Regional banks. I did not have a big position in First Citizens Bank here in NC, bought at $900 iirc and made a bitcover a double in no time at all.
