Per the RTA shared Mobility Rides (via Apps) in Dubai by year. I did not look back any more than 2022. 
2022 32.5MM rides 
2023 43.6MM rides 
2024 56.0MM rides 
2025 Jan-Jun 37.6MM or about 75.2MM annualized  
206K rides and none of it in AV to speak of. 
2026 brings in AV by WeRide.  
 
 
Of the 153MM total trip in 2025, 1/3 were app driven rides. This could be huge numbers for WeRide?

@LubberJML this is an important milestone. Unlike a similar story published a few weeks ago, on Riyadh, Dubai will be a very contested territory.

Uber leverage, driverless license live and proven, successful roll out neighbouring Emirate. Not only does this give WeRide a regulatory edge, it also is likely to capture most of the initial “autonomous” demand.

Note: WeRide is currently the -only operator- in the Gulf that is on Uber rails, and also has a tight app integration with their service in place. Baidu and Pony will need to capture customer demand through other aggregators (or generate demand through their own app, with requires an upfront and ongoing marketing cost, localisation, payment platform integration, support and maintenance, etc - that means slower ramp, while your competitor (WeRide) is taking customers for a (we)ride, and raking in the Dirhams ($)
