@sofiastocks The size and purity matter quite a bit to the economics of the project. We could both go find some scandium in our backyard, but not in quantities and purities that would make for an efficient mine. Some resources are easier to monetize than others. 
 
Of course it would be nice to get some funding from the US, but there is a whole world out there that wants this stuff. A different govt will take a stake if the US doesn&#39;t. Germany and the UK are currently considering stakes in NB, as one example.
