What at first glance appears to be a technical side note could have far-reaching consequences for the automotive industry.

Infineon&#39;s next generation, under the established Aurix brand name, is intended to cover all performance classes for MCUs – from simple tasks to critical real-time applications. A first virtual prototype was presented at the Embedded World 2025 trade fair in March , but Infineon has so far withheld details on the structure of the RISC-V cores.
