SP is meaningless. MC tells the real story.

GPCR has fewer outstanding shares and, consequently, its MC is about half that of Viking. Even that is meaningless when we&#39;re talking about clinical-stage pharmas. Viking is at least 18 months ahead of Structure in its primary obesity drug development. Structure only has an oral GLP-1 drug that is a small molecule peptide. Previous players have shown that it is not nearly as effective or well-tolerated as the GLP-1/GIP large molecule peptide. 
 
GPCR is up over 10% today on no actual news but rather speculation that it may be a more attractive acquisition target owing to its lower MC relative to Viking. Good for them. Viking&#39;s drugs are better, they address both PO and SQ, and Viking has a more advanced pipeline. 
 
Stop thinking SP means anything. Nokia (NOK) boasts a SP of around $6 PPS. Given the number of shares available, that SP translates to a MC of $33.5B.
