Intels quarterly report triggered a sharp selloff as weaker-than-expected fourth-quarter guidance, PC-market weakness, and supply constraints outweighed stronger data-center growth and an earnings beat. Traders are split between calling the drop an overreaction and viewing the outlook and manufacturing challenges as signs of deeper business problems.

Strategys Q3 earnings drew attention as a large Bitcoin-related accounting gain contrasted with a software revenue miss, while a reported Binance security incident and Bitcoin selloff added pressure to the shares. Traders debated whether the pullback was a buying opportunity or a warning about Strategys Bitcoin exposure and dilution; the reported breach remained a source of uncertainty.

Ethereum is a global, open-source platform for decentralized applications. In other words, it is a decentralized blockchain platform that enables developers to build and deploy smart contracts and applications without central authority control. Unlike Bitcoin, which primarily functions as digital currency, Ethereum operates as a programmable global computer where developers can create any type of decentralized service. The platform hosts over $14 billion in DeFi applications with hundreds of thousands of active users across financial protocols, NFT marketplaces, and gaming platforms. Its transition to Proof of Stake in September 2022 reduced energy consumption by over 99%, addressing environmental concerns while strengthening network security. The network operates through thousands of independent validator nodes that process transactions and execute smart contracts on the Ethereum Virtual Machine. Smart contracts are self-executing programs written in Solidity that automatically carry out agreements when conditions are met, eliminating intermediaries like banks or brokers. Validators stake ETH as collateral to propose and validate blocks, earning rewards for honest participation while facing penalties for malicious behavior. The EIP-1559 upgrade introduced a dynamic base fee mechanism that burns ETH with each transaction, creating deflationary pressure during high network activity when more ETH is burned than issued to validators. Vitalik Buterin proposed Ethereum in 2013, but seven co-founders helped build it, including Gavin Wood who created Solidity and the EVM technical specification, and Joseph Lubin who founded ConsenSys. The project launched in July 2015 after raising over $18 million through crowdfunding, quickly becoming the largest blockchain developer community. Major milestones include the 2020 Beacon Chain launch, the 2021 London hard fork implementing fee burning, and the 2022 Merge to Proof of Stake. Ether (ETH) serves multiple functions: paying transaction fees (gas), staking to secure the network and earn 3-5% annual yields, serving as collateral in DeFi protocols, and purchasing NFTs and digital assets. The asset is increasingly adopted by traditional institutions, with publicly traded companies adding ETH to corporate treasuries to generate staking yields while maintaining blockchain exposure, and in 2024, the SEC approved spot Ethereum ETFs, allowing traditional investors to gain exposure through conventional brokerage accounts. Ethereum's roadmap focuses on dramatically increasing transaction capacity to over 100,000 per second, reducing confirmation times, and enhancing decentralization while maintaining security against future threats like quantum computing.

Ethereum

Ethereum is drawing attention amid a sharp crypto-market selloff, with traders focusing on reports of a major Binance hack and broader tech-market weakness alongside leveraged long liquidations. The hacks reported scale is disputed in the discussion, and while some fear contagion, others argue customer funds are safe and view the decline as a buying opportunity.

The Europe segment consists of European countries, as well as India, the Middle East, and Africa. The Greater China segment comprises China, Hong Kong, and Taiwan. The Rest of Asia Pacific segment includes Australia and Asian countries. Apples relative strength as AI-focused tech stocks sell off has fueled talk of a safe-haven, anti-AI rotation, with traders debating whether institutional flows are supporting the stock or its stretched valuation makes the move vulnerable. Upcoming earnings and concerns about Duo screen issues add to the bull-bear debate, but the dominant conversation is why Apple keeps holding up while much of tech weakens.

Sandisk Corp. engages in the development, manufacture, and provision of storage devices and solutions based on NAND flash technology. Its products include solid state drives, memory cards, and USB flash drives. The company was founded on February 5, 2024 and is headquartered in Milpitas, CA.

Sandisk Corp

SanDisks strong quarterly results and higher guidance, alongside an announced 8-for-1 stock split, are drawing attention, but shares have sold off despite the upbeat report. Traders are split between viewing the drop as a broader tech/AI risk-off move or profit-taking after a strong run and seeing it as a buying opportunity based on memory demand.

XRP is a decentralized digital asset and the native token of the XRP Ledger, a Layer 1 blockchain designed for high-performance global payments. Its primary value proposition is offering a fast, cost-effective alternative to traditional banking systems by enabling near-instant cross-border settlements that finalize in three to five seconds. By serving as a neutral bridge asset between different fiat currencies, it helps financial institutions lower liquidity costs and eliminates the need for pre-funded accounts. The network is unique because it utilizes a federated consensus protocol instead of energy-intensive mining or staking. This system achieves deterministic finality through a Unique Node List of trusted validators who must reach an eighty percent agreement threshold to permanently record transactions. This infrastructure supports a sustained throughput of 1,500 transactions per second and includes a built-in decentralized exchange that allows for the automated trading of any tokenized asset without intermediaries. The project traces its origins back to 2004 with Ryan Fugger before being co-founded in its modern form by Jed McCaleb and Chris Larsen. The company, now known as Ripple, works with major financial institutions as partners and investors to build global payment solutions. To protect the network from spam, a small amount of XRP is burned during every transaction, and the token is further utilized by institutions as collateral to access traditional markets and manage digital asset infrastructure. Institutional adoption of the asset reached a major milestone in November 2025 when the SEC approved the first wave of spot XRP ETFs. These products, offered by major issuers including Bitwise, Grayscale, 21Shares, Canary Capital, and Franklin Templeton, are now listed on prominent exchanges like the NYSE Arca, Nasdaq, and Cboe BZX. While Ripple remains a key contributor to the ecosystem, the underlying XRP Ledger continues to operate as an open-source and decentralized network.

Ripple

XRP is under pressure amid a broader crypto selloff, which traders attribute to risk-off sentiment and unverified claims of a Binance hack. Discussion also focuses on Ripples bank-charter approval and Swell announcements failing to lift XRP, with skeptics arguing the developments chiefly benefit RLUSD rather than create direct demand for the token; dip buyers remain bullish.

The Hardware segment provides infrastructure technologies including Oracle Engineered Systems, servers, storage, industry-specific hardware, operating systems, virtualization, management, and other hardware-related software. The Services segment offers consulting, advanced support, and education services. The company was founded by Lawrence Joseph Ellison, Robert Nimrod Miner, and Edward A. Oates on June 16, 1977 and is headquartered in Austin, TX.

Oracles investor-day outlook, including a path to positive free cash flow and limits on future financing, sparked a sharp rally but shares later gave back much of the move. Traders are split over whether the targets ease AI-spending and debt concerns or depend on execution, while some blame weakness in other tech stocks and hyperscalers results for the pullback.

Reddits earnings beat was overshadowed by weaker-than-expected revenue guidance, declining search referrals and concern about U.S. user growth; the planned logged-in-only experience has added fears of further traffic losses. The community is largely bearish on the growth outlook, though some traders view the selloff as an overreaction to an otherwise strong quarter.
