Shares of Ambiq Micro, Inc. (AMBQ) hit their best single-day gains in over nine months after the ultra-low-power semiconductor company delivered a first-quarter beat and guided second-quarter revenue to surge 75% year-over-year, driven by accelerating edge AI demand.
Ambiq reported first-quarter revenue of about $25 million, well above Wall Street’s expectations of $21.49 million. The adjusted loss of $0.25 per share came in narrower than analysts’ expectations of $0.36 per share.
“We have started 2026 with exceptional momentum, delivering strong results driven by accelerating demand for edge AI capabilities and strong execution,” said Fumihide Esaka, Chief Executive Officer at Ambiq.
The company stated that quarterly net sales were nearly 59% higher than the year-ago quarter, with the top three customers accounting for about 71% of net sales, compared with 86% in the first quarter of 2025.
For the full year, the company expects net sales outside of the personal devices segment to double in 2026 compared to 2025.

“Our differentiated, ultra-low power SPOT platform positions us as the partner of choice for enabling on-device intelligence as we expand our presence across a broader range of form factors, use cases, customers, and end markets,” said Esaka.
Ambiq Micro is headquartered in Austin, Texas. The company provides the lowest power semiconductor solutions that enable customers to deploy AI computing at the edge, where power constraints are most demanding.
