The company reported an earnings per share (EPS) of $3.72 on revenue of $77.7 billion, compared to $3.30 EPS and $65.6 billion last year.&nbsp;Commercial cloud revenue rose 26% to $49.1 billion, with Intelligent Cloud, including Azure, contributing $30.9 billion and beating analyst estimates.Still, costs climbed sharply, with capital expenditures surging 74% to $34.9 billion, driven largely by heavy investment in GPUs and CPUs to meet growing AI-related demand.However, JPMorgan, Citi, Wells Fargo, and Morgan Stanley raised their target prices for the stock, citing strong Azure growth and elevated booking metrics.<h2 class="st-heading-2">AI Investment Spree</h2>Microsoft announced investments totaling more than $7.9 billion in the U.A.E., including more than $5.5 billion to expand AI and cloud infrastructure. This is part of a broader $15.2 billion AI initiative in the country.Last month, the software giant announced investments of $10 billion in AI infrastructure at a data center in&nbsp; Portugal, marking one of Europe’s largest AI investment projects. MSFT Stock Appears Set To Retest 200-DMA – Last Time It Did, Its Rebound Didn’t Endure

Ever since late October, MSFT stock has been in a corrective mode, dropping from its high around $553 following the first quarter earnings.

According to the analyst, combined shipments are projected at roughly 20 million units in 2025. An overwhelming majority of (59%) picked Nvidia, followed by Google (27%), Apple (8%), and Microsoft (6%).
