Bandhan Bank Q2 loans up 7% to ₹1.40 lakh crore; deposits rises 11% to ₹1.58 lakh crore

Private lender Bandhan Bank Ltd on Saturday (October 4) reported a steady expansion in its loan book and deposits for the quarter ended September 30, 2025. The bank’s loans and advances (on book + PTC) stood at ₹1,40,062 crore, marking a 7.2% year-on-year and 4.8% quarter-on-quarter growth.

Total deposits rose 10.9% year-on-year and 2.1% quarter-on-quarter to ₹1,57,975 crore. Within deposits, CASA deposits were at ₹44,214 crore, down 6.5% year-on-year but higher by 5.6% sequentially. Retail term deposits increased sharply by 39.0% year-on-year and 7.7% quarter-on-quarter to ₹68,539 crore.

Retail deposits (including CASA) reached ₹1,12,753 crore, reflecting a 16.7% rise year-on-year and 6.9% quarter-on-quarter. Bulk deposits, however, fell 1.5% year-on-year and 8.0% quarter-on-quarter to ₹45,222 crore.

Bandhan Bank’s Liquidity Coverage Ratio (LCR) as of September 30, 2025, was approximately 152.68%.

On the operational side, the bank’s pan-bank collection efficiency (excluding NPAs) improved slightly to 98.0% in Q2 FY26, compared with 97.9% in the previous quarter. The EEB (Emerging Entrepreneurs Business) segment showed a marginal improvement to 97.8%, while the non-EEB segment remained steady at 98.5%.

On Friday (October 3), shares of Bandhan Bank Ltd ended at ₹165.90, up by ₹2.45, or 1.50%, on the BSE.
