  • The company aims to install mining machines and start operations two months after finishing construction of its mining complex.
  • The facility is planned to support about 900,000 TH/s of theoretical processing power when fully operational.
  • At about 0.9 exahashes per second, the fully built-out site would represent roughly 0.1% of the Bitcoin network, which is currently running near 900 EH/s, the company said.

Shares of BTC Digital (BTCT) hit their highest level in 2026 on Monday after the company said its Georgia cryptocurrency mining project was nearing deployment, about four months after it announced that construction at the site was complete.

The company said construction of the 10-megawatt (MW) project is complete, and it expects to deploy mining machines and commence operations within about two months, given the existing power interconnection and progress toward pre-deployment.

Georgia Facility Targets 0.9 EH/s Of Computing Power

The facility is planned to support about 900,000 tera hashes per second of theoretical processing power when fully operational, said the firm. This figure assumes full deployment of its planned configuration of high-efficiency machines and that the actual number of machines installed will depend on the progress of energization, machine models, network issues, and digital asset values. At about 0.9 exahashes per second, the fully built-out site would represent roughly 0.1% of the Bitcoin network, which is currently running near 900 EH/s, the company added.

Dual-Engine Strategy In Focus

BTC Digital touted the effort as part of a “dual-engine” strategy, combining AI computer infrastructure and cryptocurrency mining. The business stated that the two lines provide a foundation for reuse in power procurement, data center building, and equipment deployment. Further, the Georgia location is expected to assist future expansion into AI and high-performance computing (HPC).

The business said that it planned to build an AI processing center at the site in stages, starting with 5 MW and potentially expanding the site capacity to 25 MW.

The company received approximately $7 million from institutional investors in June for $1.14 per unit, with warrants that might result in gross proceeds of approximately $28 million if exercised. The company stated at the time that the investment signaled the start of construction of the proposed AI computer facility.
