DGCA has fined IndiGo ₹20 lakh for alleged use of unqualified simulators in pilot training. The airline is appealing the order and cited no financial impact.
The Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) has imposed a ₹20 lakh penalty on
IndiGo for allegedly failing to use qualified simulators for pilot training at Category C aerodromes.
In a filing to the stock exchanges, IndiGo said it received the DGCA order on September 26, 2025, and is contesting it before the appropriate appellate authority. The airline added that the penalty has no material impact on its financials or operations.
IndiGo also clarified that the delay in making the disclosure was unintentional and caused by an internal communication lapse.
