Alphabet Inc.’s (GOOG) (GOOGL) Google on Thursday launched Gemini Enterprise as it looks to take on similar offerings for businesses from rival Microsoft Corp.’s (MSFT) Copilot, and OpenAI’s ChatGPT Enterprise.

Google’s Gemini Enterprise plan, which is aimed at large businesses, starts at $30 per user per month for the Standard and Plus plans. Gemini Business, which is aimed at startups and small businesses, costs $21 per user per month.

Alphabet’s Class A shares were down 0.1% in Thursday’s opening trade. Retail sentiment on Stocktwits around the company trended in the ‘bearish’ territory.

Google has also introduced a new feature with Gemini Enterprise called Workbench, allowing users to coordinate AI agents for automating tasks. It also features a set of prebuilt Google agents that can perform tasks such as in-depth research on specific topics, according to the company.

Enterprises will be able to connect Gemini Enterprise to their existing data sources, like Google Workspace, Microsoft 365, Salesforce, and SAP. “It’s about making entire workflows smarter by searching and finding information from all your enterprise documents, applications, email, and chat systems, and automating processes using agents with any of your enterprise applications,” Google Cloud CEO Thomas Kurian said.

The firm stated that companies like Klarna Group Plc. (KLAR), and Mercedes-Benz are building Gemini models directly into their products. While Klarna is using tools like Gemini and Veo to create bespoke lookbooks for shoppers, Mercedes-Benz is using Gemini to power its virtual assistant to allow users to receive personalized answers for things like navigation and points of interest, the company said.

Microsoft has a similar offering for enterprises, called 365 Copilot, which starts at $30 per user per month. OpenAI’s ChatGPT and Anthropic’s Claude also have an Enterprise tier, but the pricing is not publicly known.

GOOGL stock is up 29% year-to-date and 49% over the past 12 months.
