Shares of Trekor Metals (TGB) surged on Tuesday after the company reported strong copper production at both of its mining assets and reaffirmed its 2026 outlook.
At the time of writing, TGB stock was up more than 10%.
For the second quarter (Q2), the company reported Gibraltar mine production of 30.3 million pounds of copper and 559,000 pounds of molybdenum, up from 20 million pounds of copper and 180,000 pounds of molybdenum produced in the same period last year.

Copper sales from Gibraltar came in at 32.2 million pounds in the period, compared with 19 million pounds last year.
“At Gibraltar, production has remained consistent for the past three quarters as mining operations are well established in the Connector Pit,” said CEO Stuart McDonald.
At the Florence Copper facility in Arizona, 5.2 million pounds of copper cathode were produced in Q2, while sales totaled 5.3 million pounds of copper.

“The Florence ramp-up is advancing on plan, and the team has made excellent progress stabilizing all key circuits… Cathode quality has met all customer specifications, and trucking logistics have been running smoothly to date,” the CEO added.
The mine, which began commercial production in February this year, employs an environmentally friendly mineral recovery process that dissolves copper underground and then pumps a copper-rich solution to the surface, where it is converted into pure copper cathode sheets, according to the project’s website.
Additionally, the company's full-year 2026 copper production guidance of 110 to 115 million pounds from Gibraltar and 30 to 35 million pounds from Florence Copper was unchanged.
