Managing Director Anubhav Gupta says the new facility will create over 1,000 jobs, mostly for women, while strengthening R&D and distribution. Investor Amit Mehta of Asha Ventures calls healthy snacking a multi-decade growth trend in India.
Delhi NCR–based Wonderland Foods has raised ₹140 crore in its first institutional funding round led by Asha Ventures and British International Investments. The company will use the funds to expand its healthy snacking portfolio, boost distribution, and establish a ₹250 crore greenfield processing facility in Greater Noida.
Anubhav Gupta, Managing Director of Wonderland Foods, told CNBC-TV18 that the fresh capital will help the company strengthen its research and development and widen its retail footprint across India. “We’re looking to expand our product portfolio, and a large part of the funds will be used for new product development in the new facility we’re setting up,” Gupta said. “We want our products to be available in every part of the country and will also invest in branding and marketing.”
The upcoming Greater Noida unit, Gupta added, will employ over 1,000 people, most of them women. “We are going to change the way nuts, dry fruits and healthy snacking products are produced in the country,” he said, adding that the new plant will use advanced technology to enhance product freshness and quality.
Amit Mehta, Managing Partner at Asha Ventures, said Wonderland’s strong brand recall and execution track record made it a compelling investment. “What stood out for Wonderland was the customer love and strong brand it has built over the last few years,” he noted. “Healthy snacking is a secular, multi-decade trend, bolstered by rising disposable incomes and the growth of quick commerce.”
Over the past five years, Wonderland Foods has achieved sevenfold growth and is now looking to accelerate its next phase of expansion. The company’s focus on innovation, inclusivity, and sustainable scaling comes amid rising consumer demand for nutritious, value-added snacks in India’s fast-growing packaged foods segment.
