Ripple is the catchall name for the cryptocurrency platform, the transactional protocol for which is actually XRP, in the same fashion as Ethereum is the name for the platform that facilitates trades in Ether. Like other cryptocurrencies, Ripple is built atop the idea of a distributed ledger network which requires various parties to participate in validating transactions, rather than any singular centralized authority. That facilitates transactions all over the world, and transfer fees are far cheaper than the likes of bitcoin. Unlike other cryptocurrencies, XRP transfers are effectively immediate, requiring no typical confirmation time.  Ripple was originally founded by a single company, Ripple Labs, and continues to be backed by it, rather than the larger network of developers that continue bitcoin’s development. It also doesn’t have a fluctuating amount of its currency in existence. Where bitcoin has a continually growing pool with an eventual maximum, and Ethereum theoretically has no limit, Ripple was created with all of its 100 billion XRP tokens right out of the gate. That number is maintained with no mining and most of the tokens are owned and held by Ripple Labs itself — around 60 billion at the latest count.  Even at the recently reduced value of around half a dollar per XRP, that means Ripple Labs is currently sitting on around $20 billion worth of the cryptocurrency (note: Ripple’s price crashed hard recently, and may be worth far less than $60 billion by time you read this). It holds 55 billion XRP in an escrow account, which allows it to sell up to a billion per month if it so chooses in order to fund new projects and acquisitions. Selling such an amount would likely have a drastic effect on the cryptocurrency’s value, and isn’t something Ripple Labs plans to do anytime soon.  In actuality, Ripple Labs is looking to leverage the technology behind XRP to allow for faster banking transactions around the world. While Bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies are built on the idea of separating financial transactions from the financial organizations of traditional currencies, Ripple is almost the opposite in every sense. Helios has already secured 800 megawatts of approved and committed power capacity, with an additional 1.7 gigawatts (GW) under various stages of development and permitting. At full buildout, the campus could reach 3.5 GW.Moreover, Galaxy has secured a 15-year, 393-megawatt (MW) commitment from CoreWeave, which is expected to generate $700 million in annual revenue at full capacity. (CIFR) stock soared over 10% higher on Thursday after the company entered into a&nbsp;ten-year agreement with Fluidstack, an artificial intelligence cloud platform provider.Under the terms of the 10-year colocation partnership, Cipher will allocate 168 megawatts (MW) of dedicated IT power, supported by up to 244 MW in total infrastructure capacity, at its Barber Lake campus in Colorado City, Texas. The site, spanning 587 acres with potential expansion to 500 MW, is designed to cater to the evolving needs of AI and advanced computing workloads.The deal is expected to yield around $3 billion in revenue for Cipher over the initial contract period. Two optional five-year extensions could potentially raise that figure to $7 billion.Following the announcement, the stock became the second-most trending equity ticker on Stocktwits. Cipher Stock Soars 10% Pre-Market Today Following $3 Billion Deal With Fluidstack

The $3 billion project aims to support the growing demand for high-performance computing.The facility will have an initial capacity of 280 megawatts (MW) and is built to allow expansion beyond that threshold. Partial operations are slated to begin in 2026, with full-scale functioning expected by early 2027.Applied Digital stock traded over 17% higher on Monday morning. This Data Center Stock Doubled In 2025, Quadrupled Over One Year, And Just Rocketed 17% Today: Do You Own It?

Stablecoin issuer Circle Internet Group, Inc.'s (CRCL) shares came under selling pressure in Wednesday’s early premarket&nbsp;trading, signaling a potential reversal from the previous session.The negative sentiment can be traced back to the company’s filing of an S-1 registration statement with the SEC regarding a 10 million common stock offering. The company would offer 2 million shares, and selling shareholders would offload the remaining 8 million shares.The company went public on June 5, and since its listing on the NYSE, the&nbsp;<a href="https://stocktwits.com/symbol/CRCL">Circle stock</a> has nearly doubled to $163.21.Circle said in the regulatory filing that it expects to raise net proceeds of $309.4 million from the offering, or $542.6 million if the underwriters exercise their options. The company plans to use the proceeds for working capital and general corporate purposes, including payment obligations, business investments, and potential acquisitions.On Tuesday, Circle shares ended up 1.27% at $163.21 after the company reported forecast-beating results for the second quarter of the fiscal year 2025.&nbsp;Sentiment toward the stock has remained upbeat amid President Donald Trump’s pro-crypto stance. The president signed the stablecoin bill, dubbed the Genius Act, into law in July, thereby bringing the dollar-pegged currencies into the regulatory net and rendering legitimacy to them.&nbsp;On Stocktwits, retail sentiment toward Circle improved to ‘neutral’ (49/100) by early Wednesday, from ‘bearish’ a day ago.
