Jeep parent Stellantis NV’s (STLA) production in Italy fell by 27% to 221,885 vehicles in the first half of 2025, union Fim CISL said on Monday.While the company’s passenger car production in Italy recorded a decrease of about 34% to 123,905 units, commercial vehicle production <a target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow" href="https://www.fim-cisl.it/2025/07/07/stellantis-uliano-report-produzione-e-occupazione-1semestre-2025-26-9-tutti-gli-stabilimenti-in-negativo/">fell</a> by about 16% to 97,980 units.The union expects the carmaker to produce 440,000 vehicles across its six assembly plants in Italy this year, including 250,000 passenger cars.Union head Ferdinando Uliano noted that the data shows further worsening as compared to an already critical 2024. In 2024, <a href="https://stocktwits.com/symbol/STLA">Stellantis</a> produced 475,090 vehicles in Italy, marking a dip of 37% year-on-year and including 283,090 passenger cars.Production fell across the company’s six final production plants in Italy in the six months through the end of June, unlike in the first half of 2024, when at least the Pomigliano factory experienced an increase in production.While Pomigliano recorded the highest production among the six plants in the first half of 2025, it marked a fall of about 24% YoY. Stellantis Production In Italy Slumps 27% In H1 2025: Union Now Expects Slump In Annual Numbers

U.S. auto safety regulator National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) said on Monday that it is opening a recall query covering nearly 1.2 million Stellantis NV’s (STLA) Ram trucks.The probe covers Ram 1500, 2500, 3500, 4500, and 5500 trucks ranging from model year 2013 to 2018.Shares of <a href="https://stocktwits.com/symbol/STLA">STLA</a> are trading down 4.2% in pre-market on Monday.NHTSA said that it received 14 vehicle owner questionnaire reports and six death and injury reports under its Early Warning reporting program describing failures of the Brake Transmission Shift Interlock (BTSI) system. Brokerage Wolfe Research on Wednesday downgraded automaker Stellantis NV (STLA) to ‘Underperform’ from ‘Peer Perform’ with a €6 price target.The firm sees “meaningful risk” to the Chrysler parent’s 2025 and 2026 earnings, driven primarily by North America, as per TheFly. Wolfe’s earnings estimates are about 40% below consensus in 2025 and 45% below in 2026. &nbsp;The firm models about a €1 billion (approx. $1.18 billion) loss in North America this year, versus the consensus call for a roughly €1.6 billion profit, and added that "even this may be optimistic."<a href="https://stocktwits.com/symbol/STLA">Stellantis</a> reported a sales drop of 10% in the U.S. in the second quarter on <a href="https://stocktwits.com/news-articles/markets/equity/stellantis-us-sales-plunge-10-jeep-ram-gains-can-t-offset-broader-weakness/chF02ljRTdm">Tuesday</a> despite a rise in sales for select brands including Ram, Jeep, and Fiat.Drop in sales of Alfa Romeo, Chrysler, and Dodge vehicles, however, offset the growth of the other brands.In contrast, rivals General Motors (GM) and Ford (F) on Tuesday reported a growth in sales in the U.S. While Ford announced a 14% growth in Q2 sales, GM said that its sales in the country rose by 7% in the period.Stellantis has been struggling in North America.
