Dogecoin is a cryptocurrency based on the popular "Doge" Internet meme and features a Shiba Inu on its logo. Dogecoin is a Litecoin fork. Introduced as a "joke currency" on 6 December 2013, Dogecoin quickly developed its own online community and reached a capitalization of US$60 million in January 2014. Compared with other cryptocurrencies, Dogecoin had a fast initial coin production schedule: 100 billion coins were in circulation by mid-2015, with an additional 5.256 billion coins every year thereafter. As of 30 June 2015, the 100 billionth Dogecoin had been mined.   Dogecoin was created by Billy Markus from Portland, Oregon and  Jackson Palmer from Sydney, Australia. Both wanted to create a fun cryptocurrency that will appeal beyond the core Bitcoin audience. Dogecoin is primarily used as a tipping system on Reddit and Twitter where users tip each other for creating or sharing good content. The community is very active in organising fundraising activities for deserving causes.  The developers of Dogecoin haven’t made any major changes to the coin since 2015. This means that Dogecoin could get left behind and is why Shibas are leaving Dogecoin to join more advanced platforms like Ethereum. One of Dogecoin strengths is its relaxed and fun-loving community. However, this is also a weakness because other currencies are way more professional.  To purchase Dogecoin, it involves downloading a crypto wallet, setting up a crypto exchange account and then trading away for your desired crypto currency. Peabody Energy Draws Retail Attention After EPA Plans To Reconsider Emission Rules From Coal Plants

Vaalco Energy (EGY) stock gained 2.4% in extended trading on Thursday after the company’s fourth-quarter sales topped Wall Street’s estimates.The oil producer posted quarterly revenue of $121.7 million, while analysts expected the company to post $107.8 million in revenue, according to FinChat data.Vaalco posted a net income of $11.7 million, or $0.11 per share, for the three months ended Dec. 31, 2024, compared to $44 million, or $0.41 per share, a year earlier.Its average sales price fell to $64.48 per barrel of oil equivalent for the reported quarter from $73.89 in the year earlier.Global crude oil prices had declined during the fourth quarter amid concerns over demand and OPEC’s plans to raise production.The company’s sales also declined due to the timing of offshore cargoes. Vaalco Energy Stock Rises Aftermarket On Q4 Sales Beat, Yet Retail’s Bearish

(EGY) drew investor attention on Monday morning after the company announced the acquisition of a 70% interest in the CI-705 block offshore Côte d’Ivoire.Vaalco Energy is based in Houston, Texas, and has a diverse portfolio of production, development, and exploration assets in Gabon, Egypt, Côte d’Ivoire, Equatorial Guinea, Nigeria, and Canada.Vaalco Energy <a target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow" href="https://www.globenewswire.com/news-release/2025/03/03/3035231/0/en/VAALCO-Energy-Inc-Acquires-70-Interest-in-and-Becomes-Operator-of-Offshore-C%C3%B4te-D-Ivoire-CI-705-Block.html">said</a> it has invested $3 million to acquire interest in the new block, which “has significant prospectivity.”The company said it will become the operator of the block with a 70% working interest and a 100% paying interest through a commercial carry arrangement and is partnering with Ivory Coast Exploration Oil &amp; Gas SAS and PETROCI.CI-705, located in the Tano basin, covers approximately 2,300 square kilometers and is lightly explored.
