Unlike Bitmine, SharpLink Gaming has been more conservative about its Ethereum purchases. Bitmine announced on Monday that it has made its largest weekly purchase of the year, of over 71,000 Ethereum (ETH).&nbsp;Bitmine now holds 4,803,334 ETH, which accounts for about 3.98% of the altcoin’s total circulating supply. It has staked around 3,334,637 Ethereum, worth around $7.1 billion. Meanwhile, SBET has staked the entirety of its treasury to generate returns. The Nonprofit That Helps Run Ethereum Stakes A Record $46 Million Worth Of ETH

The Ethereum Foundation staked a record 22,517 ETH, worth about $46 million, marking its largest staking move since announcing its strategy pivot in late 2025.

BlackRock’s ETHB Bucks Trend As Other Ethereum ETFs See Outflows

Should You Bet on the Recent Rally in Bitcoin & Ethereum ETFs?

Bitcoin & Ethereum ETFs are rallying, but regulatory delays, volatility and macro risks raise a key question -- can the rally last?

<ul class="summary-bullets"><li>Ethereum’s open interest increased simultaneously with its price as per on-chain data, as it crossed the $2300 level on Wednesday.</li><li>Historical data showed that similar spikes in open interest coincided with strong price rallies in Ethereum, according to Santiment.</li><li>It noted that BlackRock’s recent transfers, along with the rise in accumulation addresses, point to growing institutional and on-chain activity.</li></ul>Ethereum (ETH) open interest rose sharply as ETH bounced back toward the $2,300 level on Wednesday, a level of derivative positioning seen last before the February pullback.Santiment data&nbsp;showed that Ethereum open interest has been rising again this month after falling along with the price in February. After that phase, both open interest and price went down. The most recent trend showed that open interest was rising again as ETH's price rose.According to Santiment, this indicated that Ethereum entered a “leveraged equilibrium zone,” where both the price and the open interest were going up at the same time. There was immediate support between $2,200 and $2,300. If momentum stays steady, the current setup could lead to a breakout squeeze.The move came after BlackRock expanded its Ethereum-focused offerings. Arkham data&nbsp;<a class="st-link-external" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow" href="https://intel.arkm.com/explorer/entity/blackrock">showed</a> that BlackRock deposited 567 BTC, worth around $41.78 million, into Coinbase and transferred $52.4 million of ETH on Tuesday.&nbsp;<a href="https://stocktwits.com/coins/ethereum">Ethereum&nbsp;</a>was trading at $2,326, up by 0.5% over 24 hours. Ethereum Enters Leverage-Fueled Equilibrium After ‘Silver Bullet’ Boost From BlackRock, Data Shows

A BlackRock executive pointed to an increase in interest-yield-generating crypto products before Ethereum’s open interest picked up this week.

Its outlook for Ethereum was reduced by $1,139 to $3,175 from an earlier estimate of $4,304. For comparison, Bitcoin’s record high is above $126,000, reached in October last year, while Ethereum peaked at over $4,900 in August.<h2 class="st-heading-2">Slower Policy Progress, ETF Demand Weigh on Outlook</h2>Citigroup cited slower progress on U.S. crypto legislation, subdued on-chain activity, and more cautious expectations for exchange-traded fund inflows as key reasons for the downgrade.&nbsp;The bank now expects 12-month ETF demand of about $10 billion for Bitcoin and $2.5 billion for Ethereum. It also assigns roughly a 60% probability to U.S. digital asset legislation passing this year.<h2 class="st-heading-2">Bitcoin, Ethereum Hold Strong Amid U.S.-Iran War</h2><a href="https://stocktwits.com/coins/bitcoin">Bitcoin’s price</a> gained 1.1% in the last 24 hours, trading at around $74,280. Citi No Longer Sees Bitcoin Hitting Record High This Year – Cuts Ethereum Outlook by Over $1,000

Citigroup lowered its 12-month price targets for Bitcoin and Ethereum, expecting both to remain below their historical highs.

However, that has sparked quite a bit of criticism. But, the founder of Ethereum Market Research Center, William Mougayar, has chosen to defend the foundation, saying the current criticism is “profoundly misplaced.”Mougayar<a class="st-link-external" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow" href="https://x.com/wmougayar/status/2032628411630510351?s=20">&nbsp;pushed back</a> against criticism on Friday, saying the organization was often wrongly treated as the Ethereum network's central authority. “Criticizing the Ethereum Foundation has become the easiest reflex in this industry,” Mougayar wrote. “It’s convenient. It gives critics a single target to point at,” the author added, saying it is unwise to do so.Mougayar, who has a decade of experience as a blockchain analyst, explained that the foundation should be viewed as a “steward” of the protocol rather than as controlling the broader ecosystem. “Ethereum is not a company. These sales have garnered a lot of criticism for selling Ethereum in bear markets.​ Some critics believe it's hypocritical, saying that it pushes Ethereum's price to tank.
