Meanwhile,&nbsp;<a href="https://stocktwits.com/coins/bitcoin">Bitcoin’s price</a> edged 0.5% higher over the last 24 hours, and retail sentiment around the apex cryptocurrency continued to trend in ‘bearish’ territory alongside ‘high’ levels of chatter.<h2 class="st-heading-2">Ethereum ETFs Still Under Pressure</h2>Ethereum spot ETFs remained under pressure, marking a sixth day of withdrawals, with net outflows exceeding $37 million on Wednesday.The&nbsp;<a href="https://stocktwits.com/symbol/ETHA">iShares Ethereum ETF (ETHA)</a> gained 2.2% in pre-market trade. However, retail sentiment fell to ‘extremely bearish’ from ‘bearish’ over the past day as chatter remained at ‘normal’ levels.&nbsp;<a href="http://stocktwits.com/coins/ethereum">Ethereum’s price</a> and&nbsp;<a href="http://stocktwits.com/coins/binancecoin">Binance Coin’s price</a> were down 2.5% in the last 24 hours. Retail sentiment around the leading altcoin remained in ‘bearish’ territory over the past day, even as chatter rose to ‘high’ from ‘normal’ levels. Retail sentiment around BNB was also in the ‘bearish’ zone.<h2 class="st-heading-2">Crypto Market Slips Further</h2>The overall cryptocurrency market edged 0.2% lower in the last 24 hours to a market capitalization of $3.21 trillion. CoinGlass&nbsp;<a class="st-link-external" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow" href="https://www.coinglass.com/LiquidationData">data</a> showed that more than $605 million was wiped out in the last 24 hours. Most of the liquidations came from long positions totaling around $427 million, while short bets accounted for over $178 million. <ul><li>Fundstrat’s Tom Lee noted Ethereum tends to bottom when the value of assets locked on the network reaches roughly 50% of its market value.</li><li>He added that ETH’s price-to-Bitcoin ratio sits near 0.032, below its eight-year average.</li><li>According to him, these two metrics combined indicate that Ethereum may bottom this week.</li></ul>Tom Lee, managing partner at Fundstrat and the executive chairman of BitMine Immersion Technologies (BMNR), reportedly said on Monday that Ethereum (ETH) is likely to bottom out this week.“I think Ethereum probably is bottoming this week,” Lee told CNBC. He pointed to the value of assets locked on the Ethereum blockchain and its long-term price ratio relative to Bitcoin as signals that ETH may be stabilizing.<a href="http://stocktwits.com/symbol/BMNR">BMNR’s stock</a> fell more than 6% in midday trade and was among the top trending tickers on Stocktwits. Retail sentiment around the company on the platform trended in ‘bearish’ territory over the past day, after Ethereum (ETH) – BitMine’s primary treasury asset – was trading at around $3,100, having gained 1.2% in the last 24 hours.&nbsp;Despite the uptick,&nbsp;<a href="http://stocktwits.com/coins/ethereum">Ethereum’s price</a> is more than 37% below&nbsp;its all-time high of over $4,900, seen in August earlier this year.<h2 class="st-heading-2">Ethereum Approaches Key Valuation Levels</h2>Lee said Ethereum tends to bottom when the value of assets locked on the network trades near 50% of the cryptocurrency’s market value—a level he said ETH is approaching now.&nbsp;He also noted that Ethereum’s price ratio to Bitcoin sits near 0.032, well below its eight-year average. A move back to that long-term trendline, he said, would imply an ETH price closer to $12,000.<blockquote>“We're getting this sort of intrinsic floor because of the value of the assets locked onto the Ethereum blockchain.” – Tom Lee, Executive Chairman, BitMine Immersion Technologies</blockquote>He added that crypto is “hyper-volatile,” stating that it’s a “feature of the blockchain itself.” Lee reiterated that he’s bullish on Ethereum, citing the increase in stablecoin creation, the tokenization of assets by institutions like BlackRock, and the drive to bring stocks, bonds, and real estate onto the blockchain.<h2 class="st-heading-2">BitMine’s Holdings Near 3.6 Million ETH</h2>Lee’s interview follows BitMine's announcement on Monday that its treasury currently holds 3.56 million Ethereum (ETH), 192 Bitcoin (BTC), a $37 million position in Eightco Holdings (ORBS), and $607 million in unencumbered cash.Lee said the broader crypto market has struggled to recover since the October 10 liquidation event. He described the current weakness as consistent with one or more market makers dealing with balance-sheet strain.&nbsp;“This is the equivalent of QT [quantitative tightening] for crypto and has the effect of dampening prices,” he said. “In 2022, this QT effect lasted for 6 to 8 weeks. Lee said Ethereum’s valuation metrics, like assets locked on-chain and long-term ratios to Bitcoin, indicate it may be nearing a bottom.

Ethereum holdings of the co-founder and former CEO of Bitmex fell from 6,500 ETH to 5,000 ETH over the weekend.

Li Lin, founder of Huobi and chairman of Hong Kong-based Avenir Capital, is reportedly leading a new $1 billion Ethereum (ETH) trust, teaming up with some of Asia’s most influential early Ethereum investors.According to a Bloomberg&nbsp;<a class="st-link-external" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow" href="https://www.bloomberg.com/news/articles/2025-10-17/huobi-founder-li-lin-set-to-launch-1-billion-ether-accumulator">report</a> citing people familiar with the matter, the initiative may involve acquiring a Nasdaq-listed company to structure the trust. Ethereum Jumps On The Privacy Bandwagon With Kohaku Roadmap Plans 

Kohaku arrives amid heightened attention to privacy following Zcash’s controversial delisting from certain platforms earlier this year. 

Bit Digital (BTBT) announced on Wednesday that it has acquired an additional 31,057 Ethereum (ETH) tokens, bringing its total holdings to more than 150,000 tokens.The company said the latest purchase was funded with net proceeds from a recently completed $150 million convertible note offering. The notes carried an initial conversion price of $4.16 per share, representing an 8.2% premium to the company’s estimated mNAV at the time of pricing.<a href="http://stocktwits.com/symbol/ETH.X">Ethereum’s price</a> was trading at around $4,500 in early morning trade after falling nearly 5% in the last 24 hours. This puts the value of Bit Digital’s 150,244 ETH holdings at around $673 million.<a href="http://stocktwits.com/symbol/BTBT">BTBT’s stock</a> rose 1.6% in pre-market trade. However, retail sentiment around the shares on Stocktwits dipped to ‘bullish’ from ‘extremely bullish’ over the past day as chatter remained at ‘high’ levels.&nbsp;“The structure of our convertible notes allowed us to raise capital at a premium to mNAV, and we have deployed those proceeds directly into ETH,” Bit Digital CEO Sam Tabar said. “We are focused on expanding our Ethereum treasury in a cost-effective manner, while benefiting from the growth of our majority stake in WhiteFiber.”WhiteFiber (WYFI), Bit Digital’s AI infrastructure and high-performance computing subsidiary, is central to the company’s evolving strategy.
