On Stocktwits, retail sentiment around BTC remained in ‘bearish’ territory, as chatter remained at ‘low’ levels over the past day.<h2 class="st-heading-2">Ethereum ETFs Log More Inflow Days Than Bitcoin</h2>In the last two weeks alone, Sosovalue&nbsp;<a class="st-link-external" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow" href="https://sosovalue.com/assets/etf/us-btc-spot">data</a> shows that Ethereum ETFs had more green days than Bitcoin ETFs, suggesting steadier allocation even amid overall risk-off flows.BlackRock is pushing the Ethereum ETF category way beyond its current&nbsp;<a href="https://stocktwits.com/symbol/ETHA">iShares Ethereum Trust ETF (ETHA),</a> even as it continues to reduce its balance on its Bitcoin ETF. In a revised filing with the US Securities and Exchange Commission for its iShares Staked Ethereum Trust ETF (ETHB), BlackRock said it plans to stake 70%–95% of the trust's Ether under normal conditions.&nbsp;<a class="st-link-external" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow" href="https://x.com/arkham/status/2025133554196512999?s=20">According</a> to Arkham Intelligence, BlackRock will also maintain a 5% to 30% "liquidity sleeve" of tokens unstaked to handle creations and redemptions. Bitcoin ETF Balances Slide To 100K BTC, Since October Peak

BlackRock expands beyond ETHA with a staked ETH ETF plan, even as it trims Bitcoin ETF balances.

This is a sign of a V-shaped accumulation phase.According to Glassnode charts, large holders increased their total balance to approximately 3.09 million Bitcoin (BTC) by the end of last year, up from 2.86 million BTC, a gain of roughly 230,000 BTC over three months, valued at $15.59 billion. It was first&nbsp;<a class="st-link-external" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow" href="https://x.com/Cointelegraph/status/2024984488267468854">reported</a> by Cointelegraph.Glassnode data showed gross exchange whale withdrawals averaging 3.5% of total exchange-held BTC supply over 30 days, marking the strongest pace since November 2024. On Stockwits, the retail sentiment around BTC remained in the ‘bearish’ territory, as the chatter levels around it remained at ‘low’ over the past day.&nbsp;<h2 class="st-heading-2">V-shaped Recovery In Whale Balances</h2>An analyst, Cauconomy,&nbsp;<a class="st-link-external" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow" href="https://cryptoquant.com/insights/quicktake/69983917c876a02133a04bc2-Whales-reaccumulate-everything-they-sold-since-October">explained</a> that “the entire reduction in whale reserves that occurred after October last year has now been reversed.” He added that “[this] V-shaped recovery signaled strong institutional accumulation in the last 30 days, taking advantage of falling prices and accumulating more than 98 thousand BTCs.&nbsp;In late 2020 and early 2021, whale balances went from sharp distribution to rapid reaccumulation. This change happened before Bitcoin's big continuation leg during the 2021 bull run. The current setup from late 2025 to early 2026 is similar, with big holders selling near local tops and then quickly rebuilding their positions during the pullback.<h2 class="st-heading-2">Ethereum Accumulating Whales Mirror The Pattern</h2>Ethereum accumulation trends also drew attention from industry experts.Fundstrat head of research Tom Lee&nbsp;<a href="https://stocktwits.com/news-articles/markets/cryptocurrency/bmnr-tom-lee-sees-v-shaped-ethereum-price-recovery-adds-40000-eth/cZbxDzmR4YT">said last week that Ethereum</a> had historically staged V-shaped recoveries following major corrections. He noted that ETH declined by 64% from January to March of the previous year. “However, in each of the eight instances, the chart showed a V-shaped recovery. The asset rebounded 100% of the time almost as quickly as it fell,” Lee added.Separately, a CryptoQuant contributor, CryptoMe,&nbsp;<a class="st-link-external" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow" href="https://cryptoquant.com/insights/quicktake/699751bb312550148f4ec160-ETH-Is-Falling-What-Are-Accumulating-Whales-Doing-Right-Now-Buying-or-Sellilng">shared</a> data showing that Ethereum “accumulating addresses” increased balances. After Ethereum, Bitcoin Whales Pile Back In With V-Shaped Accumulation

Analysts are taking notice of Bitcoin after Ethereum's accumulation patterns  where Tom Lee noted that Ethereum has repeatedly recovered in a V-shape after significant declines.

<ul class="summary-bullets"><li>Limiting tariff powers might make policies less uncertain, ease inflation, and give Bitcoin a chance to go up again before the end of the year, according to Tom Lee.</li><li>The ruling limits the broad tariff authority, but the White House's pushback keeps the policy risk high in the short term.</li><li>In the past, tariff increases caused big drops in crypto and stock prices, showing that trade policy is a major risk factor.</li></ul>Fundstrat co-founder Tom Lee said Supreme Court hearings on the administration’s tariff powers could be a positive catalyst for crypto, arguing that limiting tariffs could reduce uncertainty and support risk assets.In an interview with CNBC on Friday, Lee&nbsp;<a class="st-link-external" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow" href="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bh34Wnd5U8s">said</a> investors seemed relieved that the Court may place limits on broad executive tariff authority. He said once markets move past the tariff agenda, attention could return to cooling inflation, softer labor data, and the prospect of Federal Reserve rate cuts.&nbsp;“With positive Washington tailwinds, I think Bitcoin can do well to the end of the year,” Lee said, adding that Bitcoin reaching $150,000 or higher remains possible even though sentiment feels weak.Lee said recent market weakness has been largely driven by uncertainty over trade policy. He explained that tariffs can push inflation higher and make it harder for the Fed to cut rates. If the court limits tariffs, inflation pressure could ease, giving the Fed more room to lower rates and improving conditions for risk assets like Bitcoin (BTC).Lee also added that the Court’s involvement could reduce one of the biggest sources of policy uncertainty facing markets. Ethereum Spot ETFs Snap $1.75 Billion Exit Streak With Fresh Inflows

Bitcoin ETFs saw softer inflows, while Solana ETFs continued to record net outflows.

At Thursday’s sub-$2,000 ETH prices, that stash was worth about $8.4 billion, leaving BitMine with billions in unrealized losses.&nbsp;Despite the sharp decline, BitMine will not be liquidating its assets. Lee&nbsp;<a class="st-link-external" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow" href="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Fh8djni6jHU">told</a> CNBC on Friday that “we have no leverage, no debt,” and said Ethereum was down about 40% over the last 10 days. He said ETH has had seven drawdowns of 60% or more in the last eight years and said those episodes were followed by “V-shaped recoveries.”<a href="https://stocktwits.com/symbol/BMNR">BitMine Immersion (BMNR)</a> shares also fell sharply in recent sessions as Ethereum slid below $2,000, with investors tracking the mark-to-market value of BitMine’s ETH holdings. BMNR was trading at $20.69, up by 1.07% during after hours. The stock closed at $20.47 on Friday. On Stocktwits, retail sentiment around BMNR remained in 'bearish' territory, and chatter remained at 'high' levels over the past day.<h2 class="st-heading-2">A Death Spiral?</h2>When asked about a potential “death spiral” scenario for crypto, Lee said the data on Ethereum usage did not support that, pointing to active addresses “up 117% year over year.” He added that network usage was “up about 80%” over the last six months. Referencing Wall Street tokenization activity, Lee cited firms including UBS, Standard Chartered, and Fidelity, saying institutions are “tokenizing products on Ethereum,” and said utility measures were rising even as prices fell.Lee also outlined BitMine’s balance sheet, saying the company holds about 4.3 million ETH that earned roughly 3% annually. As ETH dropped from above $3,000 to below $1,900, the fund accelerated selling to repay loans and reduce liquidation risk.&nbsp;Separately, traders have been sensitive to large-holder ETH movements during the selloff.
