Shallow Gold Discovery Expands as New Drill Results Strengthen Emerging Trend

With spot gold holding near record levels and investor interest in high-grade discoveries surging, exploration activity across Canada&#8217;s major mining belts continues to accelerate. Juniors with shallow, high-grade intercepts are drawing renewed attention as markets reward projects capable of advancing quickly in a strong commodity environment.Shares of Foremost Clean Energy Ltd. (<a href="https://www.allpennystocks.com/stockquote/fat:cnx" target="_blank">CSE: FAT</a>)&nbsp;(<a href="https://www.allpennystocks.com/stockquote/fmst" target="_blank">NASDAQ: FMST</a>) &nbsp;are moving higher Wednesday after the company released new assay results from its ongoing 2025 drill program at the Jean Lake Gold-Lithium Property in Manitoba. The latest drill holes, JL25-003 and JL25-004, continue to confirm and expand a shallow, high-grade gold system along the Valkyrie Trend&#8212;an emerging zone that first delivered standout gold intercepts in 2023.The company reported several significant intervals, including a headline hit from JL25-003 of 34.2 g/t gold over 0.8 metres, contained within a broader 9.0 g/t over 3.5 metres, starting at just 127.8 metres depth. Additional mineralization from the same hole included 9.7 g/t over 0.5 metres within 2.7 g/t over 2.6 metres, as well as 6.2 g/t over 1.0 metre inside a 1.8 g/t over 7.0 metres interval.JL25-004 delivered further confirmation of the system&#8217;s continuity, highlighted by 6.6 g/t over 0.7 metres within 2.7 g/t over 1.6 metres, plus strong supporting intervals at shallow depths. All reported intercepts from both holes fall within 100 metres of surface&#8212;an important factor for early-stage development potential.CEO Jason Barnard said the company is &#8220;increasingly encouraged&#8221; by what drilling continues to reveal, adding that the shallow nature of mineralization is &#8220;exactly what we hoped to see at this early stage.&#8221; He noted that these results, combined with earlier high-grade hits from both the 2025 and 2023 programs, reinforce confidence in the scale and emerging continuity of the Valkyrie Trend.Foremost emphasized that the first four holes of the 2025 campaign have successfully expanded the known mineralized footprint. Earlier this month, the company reported high-grade intervals from JL25-001 and JL25-002, including 40 g/t gold over 0.6 metres and 82 g/t over 0.7 metres, both within broader multi-metre mineralized envelopes. The new assays add to that momentum, further confirming the presence of a coherent near-surface system.The Jean Lake project was first highlighted in 2023 when drill hole FM23-08 returned an impressive 102 g/t gold over 0.48 metres within 7.50 g/t over 7.66 metres. Combined with today&#8217;s results, the company now points to a series of consistent intercepts that strengthen the case for a potentially robust high-grade structure.Foremost also provided a detailed overview of its sampling procedures, analytical methods, and QA/QC protocols, noting that all work was performed by SGS Canada at its ISO/IEC 17025&#8211;accredited facilities. Assay accuracy was monitored using blanks, standards, and duplicates inserted both by SGS and independently by the company.Looking ahead, Foremost plans additional step-out drilling along the Valkyrie Trend while advancing evaluation of lithium-bearing pegmatite targets elsewhere on the property.
