Analysts had expected a revenue of $17.86 billion, according to Fiscal.ai data. Meanwhile, Q4 earnings increased by 51% to $7.39 per share on a reported basis, compared to Street estimates of $7.22 per share.For the full year, Eli Lilly’s revenue grew 45% to $65.18 billion. LLY expects earnings of $33.50 to $35 per share for full-year 2026.<h2 class="st-heading-2">Mounjaro And Zepbound Drive Revenue Growth</h2>Global revenue for Mounjaro surged 110% to $7.4 billion in Q4 2025, with U.S. sales rising 57% to $4.1 billion on strong demand despite lower realized prices. International revenue jumped to $3.3 billion from $899 million a year earlier, driven mainly by volume growth.U.S. Zepbound revenue climbed 122% to $4.2 billion, fueled by higher demand but partially offset by pricing pressure. Meanwhile, revenue from Verzenio, Eli Lilly’s drug to treat metastatic breast cancer, edged up 3% to $1.6 billion.<h2 class="st-heading-2">Eli Lilly’s Product Pipeline</h2>After the FDA authorized Lilly to market Zepbound in a multidose device last month, CFO Lucas Montarce said the company expects to launch the multidose pen within the next 30 days, according to a report by Bloomberg on Wednesday.In an interview with CNBC last month, CEO Dave Ricks said the upcoming Medicare coverage for obesity drugs could significantly boost the launch of its experimental weight-loss pill, Orforglipron. Ricks added that the company expects Medicare coverage to begin immediately after the drug’s launch.<h2 class="st-heading-2">LLY Pulls Ahead As NOVO Faces Headwinds</h2>Eli Lilly’s optimistic outlook stands in stark contrast to Novo Nordisk (NVO), which expects adjusted sales to decline between 5% and 13% and operating profit to drop by up to 13%. Notably, GLP-1 medications approved for type 2 diabetes have never carried such warnings, and the FDA said the change will ensure consistent labeling across the drug class.<h2 class="st-heading-2">FDA’s Analysis</h2>The agency conducted a large meta-analysis of 91 placebo-controlled clinical trials involving 107,910 patients. The analysis found no increased risk of suicidal thoughts, self-injurious behavior (SI/B), or other psychiatric adverse events such as depression or anxiety.The FDA also reviewed data from more than 2.2 million patients using healthcare claims and found no higher risk of intentional self-harm among GLP-1 users compared with patients taking other diabetes drugs.The findings reaffirm results from a preliminary FDA review released in early 2024 and align with conclusions from a separate UK review in the same year. The Medicines and Healthcare products Regulatory Agency (MHRA) had found no evidence linking weight-loss and diabetes drugs to suicides or suicidal thoughts.At the time of writing, <a href="https://stocktwits.com/symbol/LLY">LLY</a> and <a href="https://stocktwits.com/symbol/NVO">NVO</a> stocks were trading 0.1% and 0.2% lower, respectively.
