$PETV Materials and Methods Eighteen rhesus macaques with radiographically conrmed multi-joint OA were selected. Prior to and after injections, mobility was assessed using walking speed, accelerometry, blinded subjective clinical scoring, reach testing, and goniometry. Data was assessed using equivalence testing, as well as mixed-effects model statistics. Preliminary analyses demonstrated signicant improvements in walking speed following treatment. Walking speed increased in 91.6% of treated animals, with a mean improvement of 0.22 ± 0.11 m/s (median 0.21 m/s; range 0.03–0.41 m/s). Mixed-effects modeling demonstrated a signicant effect of timepoint on walking speed (F₃,₃₃ = 18.24, p < 0.000001). Compared with baseline, walking speed was signicantly increased at week 1 (p = 0.0002), week 2 (p < 0.0001), and week 3 (p < 0.0001).

$PETV PetVivo's primate study evaluating Spryng® with OsteoCushion® Technology in rhesus macaques demonstrated a statistically significant mean walking speed improvement of 0.22 ± 0.11 meters per second within three weeks of treatment. This rapid, non-invasive mobility gain stands in stark contrast to the human knee replacement market, where standard total knee arthroplasty requires extensive structural trauma and lengthy rehabilitation—yet only 50% of patients achieve optimal mobility scores in complex tasks like descending stairs after six months. Because non-human primates share virtually identical joint biomechanics and disease progression with humans, PetVivo's ability to achieve these physical improvements while seamlessly integrating into synovial tissues with minimal local inflammation strongly validates its human market potential. This data positions the injectable hydrogel as a highly viable, pre-surgical therapeutic alternative.
