Dogecoin is a cryptocurrency based on the popular "Doge" Internet meme and features a Shiba Inu on its logo. Dogecoin is a Litecoin fork. Introduced as a "joke currency" on 6 December 2013, Dogecoin quickly developed its own online community and reached a capitalization of US$60 million in January 2014. Compared with other cryptocurrencies, Dogecoin had a fast initial coin production schedule: 100 billion coins were in circulation by mid-2015, with an additional 5.256 billion coins every year thereafter. As of 30 June 2015, the 100 billionth Dogecoin had been mined.   Dogecoin was created by Billy Markus from Portland, Oregon and  Jackson Palmer from Sydney, Australia. Both wanted to create a fun cryptocurrency that will appeal beyond the core Bitcoin audience. Dogecoin is primarily used as a tipping system on Reddit and Twitter where users tip each other for creating or sharing good content. The community is very active in organising fundraising activities for deserving causes.  The developers of Dogecoin haven’t made any major changes to the coin since 2015. This means that Dogecoin could get left behind and is why Shibas are leaving Dogecoin to join more advanced platforms like Ethereum. One of Dogecoin strengths is its relaxed and fun-loving community. However, this is also a weakness because other currencies are way more professional.  To purchase Dogecoin, it involves downloading a crypto wallet, setting up a crypto exchange account and then trading away for your desired crypto currency. Ripple is the catchall name for the cryptocurrency platform, the transactional protocol for which is actually XRP, in the same fashion as Ethereum is the name for the platform that facilitates trades in Ether. Like other cryptocurrencies, Ripple is built atop the idea of a distributed ledger network which requires various parties to participate in validating transactions, rather than any singular centralized authority. That facilitates transactions all over the world, and transfer fees are far cheaper than the likes of bitcoin. Unlike other cryptocurrencies, XRP transfers are effectively immediate, requiring no typical confirmation time.  Ripple was originally founded by a single company, Ripple Labs, and continues to be backed by it, rather than the larger network of developers that continue bitcoin’s development. It also doesn’t have a fluctuating amount of its currency in existence. Where bitcoin has a continually growing pool with an eventual maximum, and Ethereum theoretically has no limit, Ripple was created with all of its 100 billion XRP tokens right out of the gate. That number is maintained with no mining and most of the tokens are owned and held by Ripple Labs itself — around 60 billion at the latest count.  Even at the recently reduced value of around half a dollar per XRP, that means Ripple Labs is currently sitting on around $20 billion worth of the cryptocurrency (note: Ripple’s price crashed hard recently, and may be worth far less than $60 billion by time you read this). It holds 55 billion XRP in an escrow account, which allows it to sell up to a billion per month if it so chooses in order to fund new projects and acquisitions. Selling such an amount would likely have a drastic effect on the cryptocurrency’s value, and isn’t something Ripple Labs plans to do anytime soon.  In actuality, Ripple Labs is looking to leverage the technology behind XRP to allow for faster banking transactions around the world. While Bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies are built on the idea of separating financial transactions from the financial organizations of traditional currencies, Ripple is almost the opposite in every sense. Miners today are mining Bitcoin using ASIC chip dedicated to only mining Bitcoin, and the hash rate has shot up to peta hashes.  Being the first successful online cryptography currency, Bitcoin has inspired other alternative currencies such as Litecoin, Peercoin, Primecoin, and so on.  The cryptocurrency then took off with the innovation of the turing-complete smart contract by Ethereum which led to the development of other amazing projects such as EOS, Tron, and even crypto-collectibles such as CryptoKitties.

Shares of Rocket Lab USA (RKLB) jumped more than 10% Monday morning, reaching an all-time high of $42.88 after Citi raised its price target and reiterated a ‘Buy’ rating.Citi hiked its target to $50, up from $33, and kept a ‘Buy’ rating on Rocket Lab’s stock, according to TheFly. It implies a potential upside of 16%&nbsp;from its record high of $42.88.Rocket Lab’s stock has gained 65% so far this year and 653% over the past 12 months. Citi’s analysts cited strong momentum across the aerospace and defense sector heading into second-quarter (Q2) earnings and highlighted Rocket Lab’s progress on its reusable Neutron rocket and satellite systems business.Citi estimates Rocket Lab’s annual revenue could reach $2.6 billion by 2029, driven by 20 Neutron launches per year and growing satellite contracts, especially from U.S. government programs.&nbsp;The&nbsp;firm’s model also includes $50 million in recurring annual revenue from Rocket Lab’s planned acquisition of Geost, which is expected to close in the second half of 2025.The rally&nbsp;comes after Rocket Lab was awarded a contract to build a floating ocean platform for its Neutron rocket with Bollinger Shipyards last week. Rocket Lab Stock Hits Record High After Citi Hikes Target Citing Neutron Momentum And Government Demand

Citi’s analysts cited strong momentum across the aerospace and defense sector heading into second-quarter earnings and highlighted Rocket Lab’s progress on its reusable Neutron rocket and satellite systems business.

Shares of Boeing (BA) hit a more than a year-high in morning trade on Wednesday after the aircraft manufacturer received a price target hike from Susquehanna. Speculation that President Donald Trump’s ongoing tariff negotiations could lead to more deals for the company also aided the stock’s upward momentum.&nbsp;<a href="http://stocktwits.com/symbol/BA">Boeing’s stock</a> hit a 15-month high of $228.51, surging by over 3% after the opening bell. While retail sentiment around the company on Stocktwits ticked higher as compared to a day ago, it has remained in ‘neutral’ territory for the last three months.&nbsp;Susquehanna hiked its price target on Boeing to $252 from $240, representing a potential upside of 10% from the new 52-week peak, and kept a ‘positive’ rating on the stock.&nbsp;The brokerage said it has hiked its expectations after reviewing Boeing’s June deliveries. The airplane-making behemoth reported that it delivered 60 planes in June, bringing its total deliveries in the second quarter (Q2) of 2025 to 150.&nbsp;Susquehanna said the numbers are encouraging and showcase Boeing’s progress on the commercial production re-ramp.The stock was also buoyed by Thai Airways CEO Chai Eamsiri stating that the airline could exercise an existing option to buy more planes from Boeing as a part of Thailand’s tariff negotiations with the U.S.&nbsp;While speaking at Reuters’ NEXT Asia summit on Wednesday, Eamsiri said that Thai Airways had ordered 45 Boeing 787-9 wide-body jets last year in February and had the option of ordering another 35 as part of the contract.&nbsp;His comments echoed statements by Thailand’s Finance Minister Pichai Chunhavajira, who said on Sunday that the country may purchase more Boeing aircraft as part of its tariff negotiations with Washington.&nbsp;Thailand is among the nations trying to finalise a deal with President Trump before the clock runs out. It has already submitted a new trade proposal to the U.S. in an effort to avoid steep tariff hikes that will take effect on Aug. 1.&nbsp;Boeing has proven to be a bargaining chip for Trump in his global tariff war. During his tour of the Middle East, Qatar Airways announced a deal to purchase up to 210 Boeing jets, as well as a deal with Etihad Airways, which included the acquisition of 28 Boeing wide-body aircraft.&nbsp;In his negotiations with China, Beijing lifted its ban on acquiring Boeing jets under the new trade deal framework.
