An analyst at the firm said that Lululemon's Americas sales growth rate may not turn sustainably positive in 2026, despite leadership changes.</p><p>The survey indicated that U.S. trends likely "stay tough,” as per TheFly. The firm kept a “Neutral” rating and $206 price target on the shares.</p><p>The firm, in a note to investors, said that no matter who the new CEO is, Lululemon will need at least a year of time and effort to return its U.S. business to sustainable sales growth.&nbsp;</p><p>Lululemon’s U.S. sales have struggled amid rising competition and weak consumer demand due to macroeconomic uncertainties stemming from higher inflation and tariffs. In its recently announced third-quarter results, its net revenue in the U.S. region fell 2% to $1.7 billion.</p><p>In September, Lululemon warned that U.S. tariffs on Vietnam and China, and the removal of the de minimis rule, would hurt its 2025 gross profit by $240 million, with impacts possibly reaching $320 million in 2026.&nbsp;</p><h2 class="st-heading-2">Boardroom Uncertainty</h2><p>Lululemon founder Chip Wilson has launched a proxy fight by nominating three independent directors in an effort to remake the company’s board as the athletic-apparel retailer searches for a new chief executive.</p><p>He said that shareholders have no confidence that the existing board can select and support the next CEO without onboarding members with stronger product experience.</p><p>He further submitted a non-binding proposal calling for the board to immediately declassify, so that all directors are elected annually by shareholders.</p><p>Earlier this month, Lululemon said its CEO, Calvin McDonald, will leave the company. The company’s autonomous general purpose agent can independently execute complex tasks like market research, coding, and data analysis, Meta added.</p><p>Meta said that it will continue to operate and sell the Manus service while also integrating it into its products and scaling the service to more businesses.</p><p>Manus’ team will also join Meta’s but the company will continue to operate from Singapore. It will also continue to sell and operate its product subscription service through its app and website.</p><p>“Joining Meta allows us to build on a stronger, more sustainable foundation without changing how Manus works or how decisions are made,” said Manus CEO Xiao Hong. The company said earlier this month that its annual run rate for revenue is over $125 million including usage-based and other revenue, merely eight months after launching its first general AI agent. <ul class="summary-bullets"><li>Chip Wilson said the board must be refreshed to empower a creative, brand-first experience.</li><li>He has nominated three independent directors to the board.</li><li>Wilson has called for the board to immediately declassify so that all directors are elected annually by shareholders.<br>&nbsp;</li></ul><p>Lululemon founder Chip Wilson has launched a proxy fight by nominating three independent directors in an effort to remake the company’s board as the athletic-apparel retailer searches for a new chief executive.&nbsp;</p><p>Wilson has also submitted a non-binding proposal calling for the board to immediately declassify, so that all directors are elected annually by shareholders.</p><p>The Lululemon founder has nominated three candidates to the company's board, including former On Running co-CEO Marc Maurer, former ESPN Chief Marketing Officer Laura Gentile, and former Activision CEO Eric Hirshberg.</p><p>He noted that CEO selection must follow a significant board change to ensure shareholders can trust that the right decision is made and that the new leader can succeed.</p><p>“The recent CEO change announcement was the third total failure of board oversight, with no clear succession plan in place. Shareholders have no faith that this board can select and support the next CEO without input from a board with stronger product experience,” Wilson stated.</p><p>“The Board must be refreshed so that a creative, brand-first experience is empowered,” he added.</p><h2 class="st-heading-2">CEO Departure Sparking Reset</h2><p>Earlier this month, Lululemon said its CEO, Calvin McDonald, will leave the company. The firm named its finance chief, Meghan Frank, and chief commercial officer, André Maestrini, as co-interim CEOs.</p><p>The reset at retailers is becoming a sector norm as U.S. President Donald Trump’s tariffs have been hurting sales and eating into profits at several top retailers and wholesalers. Firms have also been seeing consumer demand slow as price pressures continue to weigh on consumers' pockets. While the reported $20 billion cost is high, it is small relative to Nvidia's cash position and cash flow generation. The firm kept a “Buy” rating on the shares with a $275 price target.</p><p>Meanwhile, Citi analyst Atif Malik viewed Nvidia's licensing deal with Groq as a "clear positive.” Citi believes Nvidia has navigated regulatory scrutiny, given that Groq will remain an independent company. It kept a “Buy” rating with a $270 price target.</p><p>Stifel said that Nvidia's deal with Groq could extend AI infrastructure leadership and also kept a “Buy” rating on Nvidia with a $250 price target. UBS also remained bullish on Nvidia shares heading into 2026. It said that it expects appreciation from here to be driven almost by higher earnings estimates.</p><h2 class="st-heading-2">$20 Billion Groq Deal</h2><p>Last week, Groq said that it had entered into a non-exclusive licensing agreement with Nvidia for its inference technology. While the company did not disclose a price, CNBC reported the deal could be valued at $20 billion.</p><p>As per the deal, Nvidia will onboard Groq’s senior management team, including founder Jonathan Ross and President Sunny Madra, to help advance and scale the licensed technology.</p><p>The deal comes at a time when Nvidia is facing stiff competition in the AI inference space from firms like Advanced Micro Devices and Broadcom, among others. They have the right CEO now,” he added.</p><p>Konik said early signs of Hill’s strategy are already visible in North America, where inventory is healthier, and margins are improving.</p><p>Shares of Nike are up marginally, climbing 0.05% in Friday morning trade at the time of writing.</p><h2 class="st-heading-2">Better Solutions</h2><p>Nike has struggled with leadership changes, management resets, excess inventory, and slow turnaround over the past few years. The sneaker brand also faced stiff competition and a challenging economic climate, particularly in China, which was further squeezed by the recent tariff wars.</p><p>Given Hill's 35 years of experience at Nike, he is implementing better solutions, Konik added. “He knows how to fix the culture, and he knows how to fix the problem through an easy playbook: fixing product and balancing distribution,” he said.</p><p>In its latest quarterly results, Nike’s sales in China fell 17% in the second quarter (Q2) of 2026, while footwear sales declined 21% for the same period. Nearly 15% of Nike’s annual revenue comes from China. Meanwhile, overall sales in North America grew by 9% in the same period.</p><p>Konik acknowledged the weakness in China, saying it was a tough quarter for Nike but added that “it can become good when you lap those comparisons in four quarters.”</p><h2 class="st-heading-2">Cook’s Confidence</h2><p>Recently, Apple CEO Tim Cook purchased about $3 million of Nike’s stock in the open market, reiterating his confidence in the company. Cook is also on Nike’s board.</p><p>Konik said that in the global sneaker market, only about 10 players truly matter, and even after giving up some share, Nike remains the leader and is still well positioned. He cited the company’s position in a highly attractive category, &nbsp;limited competitive threats, leadership status, and strong brand moat as favorable.</p><p>“That’s what makes Nike special for next year. And that’s what Tim Cook saw, I think, with his stock purchase,” Konik noted. “The best part of Nike is it can use its own playbook,” he added.</p><p>Earlier on Friday, UBS also expressed its confidence in Nike’s brand and said it continues to believe its business will improve. Jefferies' Randy Konik Sees Nike Getting 'Its Act Together' Under CEO Elliott Hill

Atopic dermatitis (AD), commonly called eczema, is a chronic, non-contagious inflammatory skin condition causing intense itching, redness, dryness, and cracking.</p><p>The company <a class="st-link-external" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow" href="https://www.jnj.com/media-center/press-releases/johnson-johnson-statement-on-the-phase-2b-duplex-ad-study">said</a> that the drug did not achieve the “high-bar” efficacy targets in a planned interim analysis. The drug was, however, well tolerated in the study, the company said.</p><h2 class="st-heading-2">Other Eczema Candidates</h2><p>JNJ committed to progressing its remaining pipeline of candidates for atopic dermatitis on Friday, highlighting that the condition impacts over 100 million people worldwide.</p><p>Johnson &amp; Johnson is developing several potential therapies for moderate to severe atopic dermatitis, including NM26, PX128, PX130 and KP-723. J&amp;J bought the global rights to NM26 from Numab Therapeutics for over $1 billion and acquired PX128 and PX130 through the purchase of Proteologix, both in 2024. KP-723, meanwhile, was developed by Kaken Pharmaceutical and licensed by JNJ in late 204.</p><p>The company does not currently have an FDA-approved drug specifically for eczema on the market.</p><h2 class="st-heading-2">Other Discontinued Trials This Year</h2><p>The discontinued eczema study now joins a longer list of study terminations from JNJ this year. At the onset of 2025, JNJ and partner Sanofi discontinued its E.coli vaccine trial after a study review showed that the vaccine candidate was not sufficiently effective at preventing the E.coli disease compared to placebo.</p><p>In March, the company discontinued a late-stage program evaluating Aticaprant as an adjunctive treatment for major depressive disorder due to insufficient efficacy in the target patient population. More recently, in November, the company discontinued the trial of Posdinemab in early Alzheimer’s disease after the experimental drug failed to achieve statistical significance in slowing clinical The recent tariff war between the two largest economies has further slowed Nike’s efforts to gain market share in China’s booming outdoor sports market.</p><p>Nike, in its recently reported second-quarter results, said its footwear sales in China fell 21%, and overall sales fell 17% to $1.42 billion. <ul class="summary-bullets"><li>Bloomberg reported, citing sources familiar with the matter, that Powell McCormick is now considering retaining an advisory role.</li><li>Meta is also not looking to replace her board seat, the report added.</li><li>Powell McCormick and Stripe co-founder Patrick Collison joined the company’s board in April.</li></ul><p>Meta Platforms’ Dina Powell McCormick is stepping down from the board months after joining the company in April.</p><p>Meta said in a <a class="st-link-external" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow" href="https://www.sec.gov/ix?doc=/Archives/edgar/data/0001326801/000162828025058337/meta-20251219.htm">filing</a> with the Securities and Exchange Commission that Powell McCormick notified the company on Friday that she will resign effective immediately.</p><p>Bloomberg <a class="st-link-external" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow" href="https://www.bloomberg.com/news/articles/2025-12-19/meta-board-member-powell-mccormick-resigns-after-eight-months">reported,</a> citing sources familiar with the matter, that she is now considering retaining an advisory role. McCormick is looking to continue working with Meta’s senior leadership team in a broad ranging role that would be focused on investments and strategic counsel, the report said. Meta is also not looking to replace her board seat, the report added.</p><h2 class="st-heading-2">Board Shakeups At Meta</h2><p>Powell McCormick and Stripe co-founder Patrick Collison joined the company’s board in April, as part of the multiple board shuffles at the company. Other new joinees on the board this year include yet another Trump ally and Ultimate Fighting Championship CEO Dana White and Exor CEO John Elkann.</p><p>Powell McCormick is a former top adviser to President Donald Trump and has also served as Assistant Secretary of State for Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice under President George W. Bush. She is currently president of Global Client Services at BDT &amp; MSD Partners. Her husband Dave McCormick is a Republican senator from Pennsylvania.</p><h2 class="st-heading-2">Executive Exits</h2><p>In addition to board members, executives are also in constant flux at Meta. Last month, it was reported that Chief Revenue Officer John Hegeman is leaving the company as well as Business AI unit head Clara Shih. Meta Sees Another Board Shakeup As Former Trump Adviser Resigns Just Months After Joining

Meta said in a filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission that Powell McCormick notified the company on Friday that she will resign effective immediately.

Wainwright, the positive study result from Lilly materially de-risks Viking's (VKTX) oral VK2735 program.</li></ul><p>&nbsp;</p><p>Eli Lilly and Company (LLY) said on Thursday that its oral weight loss drug Orforglipron helped weight maintenance in patients who were previously treated with other injectable weight loss therapies in a late-stage study.</p><p>The company <a class="st-link-external" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow" href="https://www.prnewswire.com/news-releases/lillys-orforglipron-helped-people-maintain-weight-loss-after-switching-from-injectable-incretins-to-oral-glp-1-therapy-in-first-of-its-kind-phase-3-trial-302645471.html">studied</a> Orforglipron for weight maintenance over 52 weeks in patients who were on 72 weeks of popular injectable weight-loss drugs Wegovy and Zepbound. While Zepbound is Lilly’s own injectable weight-loss drug, Wegovy is owned by its rival Novo Nordisk. Orforglipron delivered superior weight maintenance when coupled with a healthy diet and physical activity as compared to placebo in the study, the company said.</p><p>The overall safety and tolerability profile of Orforglipron in the trial was consistent with previous studies, the company added.</p><h2 class="st-heading-2">Lilly Awaits FDA Green Light</h2><p>Orforglipron is eligible for a fast-track review by the FDA after it was granted a Commissioner's National Priority Voucher aimed at reducing review time for important drugs in November. Lilly has already submitted an application to the FDA seeking approval for the drug for the treatment of adults with obesity and a decision is expected in early 2026. Lilly’s rival Novo Nordisk is also seeking approval for its oral Wegovy pill, intensifying competition.</p><p>Orforglipron was discovered by Chugai Pharmaceutical Co., Ltd. and licensed by Lilly in 2018. The company is studying the drug in the treatment of type 2 diabetes in addition to obstructive sleep apnea, hypertension, and knee osteoarthritis in adults with obesity.</p><h2 class="st-heading-2">Viking Therapeutics Investors Cheer Lilly’s Trial Data</h2><p>According to analyst H.C. Wainwright, the positive study result from Lilly materially de-risks Viking's (VKTX) oral VK2735 program and its maintenance dosing strategy. The firm believes the data helps reinforce the commercial viability of an oral maintenance approach.</p><p>Wainwright has a ‘Buy’ rating on Viking Therapeutics with a price target of $102 on the shares.</p><p>Viking Therapeutics is currently evaluating several VK2735 dosing options, including a potential once-monthly subcutaneous injection and daily or weekly oral doses, in an ongoing early-stage clinical trial to sustain the initial weight loss achieved after weekly injections. &nbsp;</p><h2 class="st-heading-2">How Did Stocktwits Users React?</h2><p>While shares of LLY traded 3% higher at the time of writing, VKTX rose 1%.
