The firm stated that demand by commercial customers for Super Duty trucks and Transit commercial vans is outstripping production capacity.The Ford Model e reported an EBIT loss of $1.14 billion amid ongoing industry-wide pricing pressure on first-generation electric vehicles and lower wholesales. These factors more than offset about $400 million in year-over-year cost reductions in the segment, the company said. An anticipated full-year loss of $5 billion to $5.50 billion for Ford Model e is unchanged, with continued pricing pressure and investments in next-generation electric vehicles, it added.The stock is currently trading at a price-to-earnings of 14.09. Stocktwits users, meanwhile, are talking about the cheap valuation of the stock. In the UK, for example, EV used car prices have fallen sharply in recent months. Two, uncertainty around a number of elections this year has decreased visibility on potential changes to government policies affecting the EV industry,” the firm said while adding that rapid charging station infrastructure issues have emerged as a tangible problem.Shares of Ford were trading nearly 2% higher on Thursday. The stock has returned over 21% since the beginning of the year.Recently, Barclays analyst reportedly maintained a ‘Buy’ rating on the stock with a price target of $17.
