$SID The clock is ticking to close the CSN deal. Next week we find out where this goes. Can't go any lower IMO. The sale of CSN should make this one jump without a doubt. Good weekend to all!

$SID I was thinking that SID should protect itself from falling below $1. CSN reported that the NYSE notified it in August of non-compliance with the minimum average price requirement of $1 for its ADR. The notification does not imply immediate delisting, and the company has a period to regain compliance, but it could increase pressure if the price falls below 1 dollar again.

A tactical opportunity; Perception matters 
We have been cautious on CSN for several years, primarily due to persistently high leverage, weak FCF generation and the lack of a clear equity story. We now see an interesting short term trading opportunity. The appointment of Fabio Schvartsman as CEO can be an important catalyst for change, and we believe his first major test, delivering the sale of CSN Cimentos, has a reasonable probability of success. More importantly, we expect the new leadership to place deleveraging, asset sales and capital allocation firmly at the center of the agenda. Execution risks remain high, but at current levels we believe investors do not need a fully repaired balance sheet for the stock to work. Growing confidence that change is finally coming could be enough to drive a near-term re-rating.

Beyond the sale of the 14% of its business, Brazil's elections are coming up on October 4, 2026, and I’m not sure who stands a chance between Lula’s socialist side and Bolsonaro. There’s going to be massive volatility after that Sunday—it’s practically a casino and nobody has any idea what’s going to happen. I don't know if it's worth taking the risk. I wish I could figure out whether its stock price is already pricing in what's about to happen, or if it isn't discounted yet and Lula's reelection ends up being a black swan that leaves me in the red
