The Cosmos network consists of many independent, parallel blockchains, called zones, each powered by classical Byzantine fault-tolerant (BFT) consensus protocols like Tendermint. Some zones act as hubs with respect to other zones, allowing many zones to interoperate through a shared hub. The architecture uses classic BFT and Proof-of-Stake algorithms, instead of Proof-of-Work. Cosmos can interoperate with multiple other applications and cryptocurrencies, something other blockchains can’t do well. By creating a new zone, you can plug any blockchain system into the Cosmos hub and pass tokens back and forth between those zones, without the need for an intermediary. The fee may be proportional to the amount of computation required by the transaction, similar to Ethereum’s concept of “gas”. Fee distribution is done in-protocol and a protocol specification is described here.  As staking tokens, ATOM can be “bonded” in order to earn block rewards. The economic security of the Cosmos Hub is a function of the amount of ATOM staked. The more ATOM that are collateralized, the more “skin” there is at stake and the higher the cost of attacking the network. Thus, the more ATOM there are bonded, the greater the economic security of the network.  Atom holders may govern the Cosmos Hub by voting on proposals with their staked ATOM.

Proceeds will also be used to repay past equity investments and fund project reserves related to the development.The project is backed by a 15-year, $7 billion lease deal with cloud computing company Fluidstack, which has leased the whole first phase of the property. The deal also gives Fluidstack the option to extend use by as much as 1,000 megawatts in future stages, depending on the availability of power. Google (GOOG/GOOGL) is providing a financial backup for the basic lease period.<h2 class="st-heading-2">Infrastructure-Style Financing Model</h2>In contrast to the balance sheet-driven borrowing that Bitcoin miners usually employ, the article&nbsp;claimed that the funding is structured at the project level through Hut 8 DC LLC, more closely matching it with infrastructure and project finance models.According to the report, the offering received a preliminary BBB rating from credit rating firms Fitch and S&amp;P Global Ratings, which puts it in the lowest category of investment-grade debt. Risks that S&amp;P identified included the requirement to bring the facility up on time, reliance on a single tenant, and construction execution.The data center's income is predicted to be at $171 million in its first full year of operation, climbing to nearly $547 million annually by 2041, with free cash flow growing over time.<h2 class="st-heading-2">Bitcoin Miners Expand Beyond Mining</h2>While Bitcoin miners have previously raised debt to fund operations or accumulate Bitcoin, like Marathon Digital’s (MARA)&nbsp;<a class="st-link-external" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow" href="https://ir.mara.com/news-events/press-releases/detail/1404/mara-holdings-inc-completes-upsized-950-million-offering-of-0-00-convertible-senior-notes-due-2032">convertible</a> note offerings, Hut 8 Corp’s bond issuance is aimed at financing data center infrastructure.The move comes as mining corporations have shifted more of their focus to artificial intelligence (AI) and high-performance computing (HPC) operations. (BTBT) reported on Tuesday that the firm held roughly 155,444 Ethereum (ETH), valued at $327 million, with an average acquisition price of $3,045 at the end of last month.&nbsp;Out of the company’s total holdings, about 62% of its holdings, which amounts to 96,322 ETH, remained staked during the time, while it reduced its staked position in March to give management greater flexibility in handling its Ethereum treasury.&nbsp;The firm stated that the proceeds could be used for “other yield opportunities and other capital allocation.”&nbsp;It added that staking operations generated nearly 291.3 ETH in rewards, yielding about 2.9% annually.&nbsp;In addition to its crypto treasury, Bit Digital maintained a majority ownership stake in WhiteFiber (WYFI), an AI infrastructure and high-performance computing (HPC) provider. The firm said it roughly holds 27 million shares of WhiteFiber, valued at over $322 million.<a href="https://stocktwits.com/symbol/BTBT">BTBT's stock</a> was down over 4% on morning trade. Bit Digital Cuts ETH Staking To Boost Treasury Flexibility, Holds $322 Million In WYFI Shares

Valour continued to scale its global ETP platform with more than 100 listed products and strong inflows throughout the year. Both tastytrade and Interactive Brokers rely on ZeroHash for underlying infrastructure.<a href="https://stocktwits.com/symbol/IBKR">IBKR’s stock</a> fell more than 4% in morning trade on Friday amid broader weakness in capital market stocks, with the Schwab Crypto Thematic ETF (STCE) down 3.3%.&nbsp;On Stocktwits, retail sentiment around IBKR trended in ‘bearish’ territory over the past day as chatter dipped to ‘normal’ from ‘high’ levels.<h2 class="st-heading-2">Retail Brokers Step Up Tokenization Race</h2>The shift is unfolding as major retail brokers deepen their reliance on stablecoins internally. Robinhood uses USDG and USD Coin (USDC) behind the scenes to speed weekend settlements and improve margin efficiency.&nbsp;CEO Vlad Tenev said during last year’s fourth quarter (Q4) earnings that 24/7 functionality would eventually become standard across markets, adding that the firm is also pushing regulators for frameworks governing tokenized real-world assets and same-day settlement.<a href="http://stocktwits.com/symbol/HOOD">HOOD’s stock</a> fell more than 3% in morning trade.&nbsp;On Stocktwits, retail sentiment around the stock, however, rose to ‘bullish’ from ‘bearish’ territory over the past day as chatter ticked higher to ‘high’ from ‘normal’ levels.&nbsp;Schwab, meanwhile, is exploring creating its own stablecoin and intends to allow spot trading for Bitcoin (BTC) and Ethereum (ETH).&nbsp;<a href="http://stocktwits.com/symbol/SCHW">SCHW’s stock</a> fell over 2% in morning trade.&nbsp;On Stocktwits, retail sentiment around the stock also improved to ‘bullish’ from from ‘neutral’ territory over the past day. Chatter remained at ‘normal’ levels.CEO Rick Wurster said during the July 2025 earnings call that Schwab’s clients want to manage both crypto and traditional assets in one place. While the firm manages more than $7 trillion in assets and holds a significant share of crypto ETP flows, it has been cautious on tokenization for publicly traded equities.<h2 class="st-heading-2">Crypto Exchanges Eye U.S. Stock Trading</h2>Coinbase is seeking SEC approval to launch blockchain-based tokenized stocks, positioning itself to compete directly with retail brokerages on lower costs.&nbsp;Chief Legal Officer Paul Grewal said in June earlier this year that the initiative is a “huge priority,” following the rollout of Kraken’s xStocks product. The company’s upcoming December 17 event may have some updates on the same.&nbsp;<a href="http://stocktwits.com/symbol/COIN">COIN’s stock</a> slipped 1% in the morning trade.&nbsp;On Stocktwits, retail sentiment around the stock remained in ‘bullish’ territory over the past day with chatter at ‘normal’ levels.According to a Bloomberg&nbsp;<a class="st-link-external" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow" href="https://www.bloomberg.com/news/articles/2025-12-12/interactive-brokers-allowing-accounts-to-be-funded-by-stablecoin">report</a>, Interactive Broker’s new feature will be rolled out gradually, beginning with a group of eligible U.S. clients. A spokesperson for the company reportedly confirmed in an emailed statement that the update will allow users to move funds directly from cryptocurrency wallets, bypassing the need for a bank transfer.&nbsp;The report said Billionaire chairman Thomas Peterffy first flagged the initiative during Goldman Sachs Group’s financial-services conference on Wednesday. According to a Bloomberg report, the brokerage is introducing stablecoin account funding to a subset of U.S. clients.

Crypto's explosive 2025 rally has pushed ETFs like BKCH and STCE sharply higher, putting them in focus for investors before the year ends. 

Bit Digital (BTBT) announced on Wednesday that it has acquired an additional 31,057 Ethereum (ETH) tokens, bringing its total holdings to more than 150,000 tokens.The company said the latest purchase was funded with net proceeds from a recently completed $150 million convertible note offering. The notes carried an initial conversion price of $4.16 per share, representing an 8.2% premium to the company’s estimated mNAV at the time of pricing.<a href="http://stocktwits.com/symbol/ETH.X">Ethereum’s price</a> was trading at around $4,500 in early morning trade after falling nearly 5% in the last 24 hours. This puts the value of Bit Digital’s 150,244 ETH holdings at around $673 million.<a href="http://stocktwits.com/symbol/BTBT">BTBT’s stock</a> rose 1.6% in pre-market trade. However, retail sentiment around the shares on Stocktwits dipped to ‘bullish’ from ‘extremely bullish’ over the past day as chatter remained at ‘high’ levels.&nbsp;“The structure of our convertible notes allowed us to raise capital at a premium to mNAV, and we have deployed those proceeds directly into ETH,” Bit Digital CEO Sam Tabar said. “We are focused on expanding our Ethereum treasury in a cost-effective manner, while benefiting from the growth of our majority stake in WhiteFiber.”WhiteFiber (WYFI), Bit Digital’s AI infrastructure and high-performance computing subsidiary, is central to the company’s evolving strategy. The firm has shifted from a Bitcoin-focused mining operation to a dual approach, emphasizing Ethereum staking and AI compute services like most other companies in the space. Bit Digital holds a majority stake in WhiteFiber, which was spun off through a planned Nasdaq&nbsp;initial public offering (IPO) in August.In pre-market trade on Wednesday,&nbsp;<a href="http://stocktwits.com/symbols/WYFI">WYFI’s stock</a> edged 0.5% higher.
