The contributing factors to the condition are typically multiple.Linzess is already approved for the treatment of adult patients with the condition. Ardelyx now expects continued growth in the fourth quarter for the drug.Total revenue in the quarter, including product and licensing revenue, came in at $110.3 million, above an analyst estimate of $100.54 million. Transthyretin amyloidosis with cardiomyopathy is a severe and progressive heart failure caused by the buildup of misfolded amyloid fibrils, derived from the transthyretin protein, in the heart muscle. Transthyretin amyloidosis with polyneuropathy, meanwhile, is a progressive, multisystem disease caused by the buildup of abnormal proteins in the body's organs and tissues.&nbsp;<h2 class="st-heading-2">Why The Pause?</h2>The decision follows a report on October 24 of heightened liver transaminases and increased total bilirubin in a patient who was dosed with Nex-z in a trial, raising concerns of drug-induced liver injury.
