$UVIX My ave is $39.86 -- So, I may be cooked today. I bought yesterday, which was a mistake. I bought $SOXL yesterday, which, if I would hav held longer would have been a great sell today. I broken even on that trade. I bought back into $SOXS this am my ave is $45.58.

$UVIX This won’t spike until some random, unforeseen event comes out of nowhere. I was long a load of UVIX/VIX calls in 2024. Trump got shot and various other things happened that you’d expect to spike vol — yet VIX spent ages around 12–13 and my options just bled. Literally the day after they expired, we got the bad jobs number and the yen carry-trade unwind and VIX exploded. Luckily I shorted vol into that spike, and within about a week VIX had almost completely retraced. Lesson I learned: it’s a hell of a lot easier to short a vol spike than sit there bleeding premium waiting for the event that finally causes one. Trading something like UVIX has its own version of “theta” through futures contango and the constant daily reset/decay. It’s not exactly the same as option theta, but the end result can feel pretty similar — time is working against you while you wait for the move. I’ll trade it long tactically, but I wouldn’t want to sit long this stuff for any length of time.$SPY

$UVIX This does not react. This decays too damn much. it is a scam. it is a sure way to lose money. Only a moron would ever touch it... and all of a sudden, bond rates sart breaking levels they have not for many years, money gets tight, the underbelly of a debt based system starts to bleed out, exposing something that has been waiting to break for a long time and UVIX goes parabolic. Not saying today this the day, or even this week, but the macro conditions seem to be primed for something violent to happen here IMO.
