NYSE-listed shares of EV maker ZEEKR Intelligent Technology Holding (ZK) jumped 11% on Wednesday morning after its parent and Chinese carmaker Geely proposed taking it private.In a <a target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow" href="https://www1.hkexnews.hk/listedco/listconews/sehk/2025/0507/2025050700604.pdf">filing</a> with the Hong Kong stock exchange, Geely said that it has submitted a non-binding proposal to Zeekr, indicating its interest in taking the EV maker private by acquiring all issued and outstanding Zeekr shares and American Depositary Shares (ADSs).The company proposed to value Zeekr at $25.66 per ADS, which represents a premium of approximately 13.6% to the stock’s closing price on the NYSE on Tuesday.Geely holds approximately 65.7% of the total issued and outstanding share capital of ZEEKR as of May 7.If the proposed privatisation goes through, Zeekr would become a wholly owned subsidiary of the company and would be delisted from the NYSE, the company said.Geely believes the integration of Zeekr’s assets and resources will help enhance the competitiveness of its passenger vehicle business.“As ZEEKR is a global premium electric mobility technology brand targeting the high-end premium market, taking full equity control over ZEEKR is strategically significant for the Group,” it said.Zeekr went public in the U.S. in May 2024. (YUMC) rose more than 3% on Friday after the fast food restaurant operator in China received an upgrade from OTR Global but retail reaction on Stocktwits lagged the stock price move.OTR Global upgraded Yum to ‘Mixed’ from ‘Negative,’ citing checks that point to improved sales growth in the fourth quarter, Fly.com reported.Yum’s stock has risen more than 5% in the past week as the company announced the date for its upcoming results for the fourth quarter and fiscal year 2024. &nbsp;The company plans to report quarterly results on February 6, after the trading hours of the Hong Kong Stock Exchange.Yum China, a Fortune 500 company, &nbsp;is expected to post earnings per share of $0.30 estimated revenues of $2.62 billion by Wall Street analysts, according to Stocktwits data.The company beat &nbsp;EPS estimates in all four quarters last year, but missed revenue estimates twice.In its most recent quarter, Yum reported adjusted EPS of $0.77, beating consensus estimates of $0.67. &nbsp;Its Q3 revenue came in at $3.07 billion, beating consensus estimates of $3.05 billion.Same-store sales reached 97% of the prior year's level, up from 96% in the second quarter."We delivered strong results again in the third quarter. Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Company (TSM) on Thursday announced an upbeat set of second quarter earnings that topped analyst estimates led by an increasing demand for chips used in artificial intelligence (AI) applications. TSM reported a 40.10% jump in net sales at New Taiwan Dollar (NT) 673.51 billion as compared to a Street estimate of NT657.58. Meanwhile, 5-nanometer accounted for 35% of the revenue and 7-nanometer accounted for 17%. Advanced technologies, defined as 7-nanometer and more advanced technologies, accounted for 67% of total wafer revenue.“Moving into third quarter 2024, we expect our business to be supported by strong smartphone and AI-related demand for our leading-edge process technologies,” Huang said.For the third quarter, the company expects its revenue to come in between $22.40 billion and $23.20 billion. This tops an earlier Street estimate of $22.60 billion.Based on the exchange rate assumption of one dollar to 32.50 NT dollars, it expects a gross profit margin between 53.50% and 55.50% and an operating profit margin between 42.50% and 44.50%.Shares of the firm have risen over 68% since the beginning of the year to $171.20. Recently, Needham reportedly raised its price target on the stock to $210 from the earlier target of $168 and maintained a ‘Buy’ rating on the stock. &nbsp;
