$ABNB Daily. Looking for lower highs in most consumer-related discretionary plays like Airbnb into their latest bounces. Expect various consumer headwinds to cause weak Q4. EPS 11/5

And this is why I used my YTD profits to buy a vacation home in Boca Raton. Times like these. Prepping it for $ABNB season.

Zone: $174.23 to $176.69
Invalidation: close under $171.92
Objectives: $186, then $193.45
The math: up 6.0% to the first objective and 10.3% to the second, against 2.0% risk on the invalidation, about 5 to 1 to the second
Dear friend, think of this swing setup like a guest who keeps extending a stay because the house feels right. Airbnb closed at 175 dollars and 46 cents, up just over 1 percent, after buyers held the 172 dollars and 48 cents low above its 50 day average near 171 dollars and 92 cents. What that means is simple. Earnings on November 5 give the idea a clear date, and a good report has room toward 186 dollars first and the yearly high near 193 dollars and 45 cents next, while a close under that average says you step aside.
P.S. Watch 176 dollars and 98 cents, the high from October 16. A close over it shows buyers pushing, not just defending.

$ABNB reports Thursday, and the revenue split by listing location in the 10-Q shows Latin America growing fastest in dollars, not just nights.
Latin America revenue was 291 million dollars in Q2, up 26 percent from 231 million dollars a year earlier, and 742 million dollars for the first half, up 29 percent. North America grew 16 percent in Q2 to 1,594 million dollars and Europe, the Middle East, and Africa grew 16 percent to 1,425 million dollars.

Airbnb guests will no longer be reqiuired to wash the dishes or strip the beds at checkout.
Sounds pretty "hotel"-ish to me for a company that insists it's not a hotel 😂 $ABNB

$ABNB Apparently, Airbnb thinks it’s perfectly acceptable to ask guests to load the dishwasher, but asking them to push the START button before leaving crosses the line.
Guess what, Airbnb? That means no more same-day turnovers. No more guests checking out in the morning and new guests checking in that evening. Translation: Fewer bookings, less flexibility, and less revenue for everyone, including Airbnb.
This is a perfect example of a California-based company trying to dictate how individual property owners operate their businesses. Airbnb needs to focus on marketing properties and generating bookings, not micromanaging the day-to-day operations of vacation rentals.
Let guests decide whether checkout responsibilities are reasonable. If they think the requirements are excessive, they can simply book somewhere else. That’s how a free market is supposed to work.
Stop making those decisions for guests and property owners. Let the market decide.

Zone: $170.81 to $173.21
Invalidation: close under $167.07
Objectives: $179, then $193
The math: up 4.1% to the first objective and 12.2% to the second, against 2.9% risk on the invalidation, better than 4 to 1 to the second.
Dear friend, picture a traveler favorite sitting right on the line where buyers have stepped in all month. Airbnb closed Friday at 172 dollars and 1 cent, down a little on the day, right on its 50 day average, with the third quarter report coming November 5 after the close. This swing buys that shelf, with a close under 167 dollars and 7 cents saying the floor gave way, while room opens first toward 179 dollars and then toward 193 dollars if the report brings back the buyers who lifted this name all year. You are not chasing a spike here. You are standing where the stock has already held, with a clear answer coming soon.
P.S. Watch 174 dollars and 49 cents, the Friday high, because a move over it shows buyers pressing again.

Zone: $173.50 to $175.90
Invalidation: close under $171.50
Objectives: $179, then $193
The math: up 2.5% to the first objective and 10.5% to the second, against 1.8% risk on the invalidation, better than 5 to 1 to the second.
Dear friend, here is the setup. Airbnb is in a steady climb and the November 5 earnings report is the next big moment on the calendar, so a swing call into that report is the honest read here. The stock bounced off the 170 area this month and has held every dip since, which is what a healthy chart looks like when buyers keep showing up. You are paying for two weeks of patience, and if the number lands well the shares have a clear road up to the 179 line and then the old August high near 193. What is the risk? A daily close back under 171.50 says the buyers stepped away and the idea is wrong.
P.S. Earnings land November 5 after the close, so this contract wakes up the very next morning.

$ABNB I have five rentals. Will be dropping abnb and just use VRBO and the new services beginning to pop up. Always felt it was unnecessary anyway and this gives me a reason to drop them.

$ABNB I think this is underrated, but Chase offering 3x pts and amex offering 5x pts on airbnb bookings are a game changer. honestly one of the reasons many leaned towards hotels in the past

$ABNB reports Thursday, and part of its bookings growth is now unpaid at booking.
Reserve Now, Pay Later bookings are counted in full in gross booking value in the quarter they are made, even though no payment is collected then and no unearned fees are recorded until payment arrives closer to check in.
The 10-Q says those bookings have had higher cancellation rates than historic bookings and helped lift ADR in Q2, when gross booking value rose 16 percent to 27.2 billion dollars on nights up 10 percent.

$ABNB with the new rules coming for owners... will that affect the stock at all? delays in check ins will be imminent.
